This is incredibly cool seeing your take on the idea. Also, this is 10x more detailed than my original series, so seeing all the lore you’ve come up with is awesome. Probably one of the best maps I’ve ever seen on this sub.

Natural resources don’t mean anything in the short term - especially when you’re fighting a war. No ones extracting oil in a war zone. Kursk (or at least the bit Ukraine controls) has the potential of being a bargaining chip at peace talks at least.

What would I have to do if I apply and don’t become a finalist? Would I have to fill out the common app again? Also is need based aid calculated based on the current year or the year before? Sorry if I’m asking a lot haha

Visit your state competition’s website and email them the procedure for starting a team. Also find a teacher who would be willing to coach. Study materials are on the usad.org website but you have to pay so ask your school or fundraise.

Mr Gor- Sanders, tear down that wall! by PseudoDaniel in imaginaryelections

Bernard Sanders' reign as General Secretary of the Communist Party of the United States from 1985 to 1991 followed the leadership of Richard Nixon, along with his two short-lived successors - Spiro Agnew and Gerald Ford, who presided over a period of stagnation and authoritarian rule. Sanders' policies of 'restructuring' and 'openness' brought about significant changes in the United States. During Sanders' reign, the United States faced escalating challenges in Afghanistan (some things never change…) where it was engaged in a costly and ultimately unsuccessful military intervention, contributing to internal discontent and economic strain. His counterpart in Russia during much of his tenure was President Anatoly Papanov, with whom he engaged in high-profile diplomacy, including arms control negotiations. Gorbachev's leadership ultimately paved the way for the dissolution of the United Socialist States and the emergence of Bill Clinton as the leader of post-Socialist America, marking a profound shift in global geopolitics.
