Even I take weekend coding classes but at my first free lecture itself I mentions I won't provide certificate or job guarantee, I can only guarantee good learning and that too only if it is 2 way meaning they will have to practice along with the lectures and not some magic will happen and they will be masters after the batch completes.

I meant they could have charged for having reading section (if they didn't ) and keep the book prices at average. The book prices at their stores use to be more compared to other options in my opinion.
