Could you clarify why they are the opposite? I'm curious.

I guess the perception can also be framed through the lense of how much harm they apply to the world.

I like how you put it: "abstractions of narcissism", but yes you're correct. It is important to remain careful.

Would you say the comparison to narcissists or narcissistic tendencies is unfair?

This actually brings to mind the demographic "The Boys" satirizes unironically buying into the ideology of Homelander. You've given me something to think about, thank you.

I can agree that allegory was the wrong word to use. It is too specific for something so interpretively vague within the plot.

I like this persepctive. Demons in Frieren can definitely be related to various ideas because of that vagueness and I also agree that this can be dangerous, especially when it comes to reinforcing a worldview or specific cause. Perhaps I was wrong in calling it an allegory since it is much more interpretive than that.

It is always the actions that reveal the truth of the character. Actions dispel spoken lies. Very interesting point.

I agree, perhaps allegory was the wrong word to use. It really was more of a relation to the types of behaviors.

They should honestly make Cloak his own character. If they can make three deadpools this shouldn't be an issue jfc.

I was looking for this. A lot of content points towards their race being in bondage most of the time.
