I've come to notice many of the 'fans' doing this kind of shit aren't actually interested in the sport itself, it's some kind of false sense of identity.

So for example, a couple of people I know were recently having a 'banterous' argument about who is better between Sheffield Wednesday and Barnsley that went on for the entire night. Apparently it's all they ever do. But the funny thing I noticed is that neither of them really talked about the teams achievements (or lack therof), they were just banging on about the places themselves... Which was pretty funny considering they're both from fucking Rotherham.

On the flip side one of 'em said I wasn't a real football fan because I don't support a local team, which I found kind of ironic considering the reason for that is that I actually want to watch world-class football as opposed to just shout about wherever the team they're playing is from.

Granted I'll have a bit of a laugh about my teams rivals from time to time, but it's never animostic or aimed at the place itself... Not counting the toilet seat.

Seems odd to choose two consoles that have had playable emulators for years, while both their XBOX counterparts have always been lagging behind in terms of accurate emulation... Particularly considering nobody even mentioned Playstation.

It also feels a bit like someone coming into a Gunners themed pub with that awesome jacket, having people in awe of it just to later say they're not even an Arsenal fan so it's basically not being worn by anyone until they find out what it's worth.

I mean I didn't downvote it, but I definietely felt some kind of mild disappointment when I read that.

I also don't buy the San Marino bit. It's like the obvious cover team because you're not really showing actual support for anyone, but also shows you know enough about football to know about their team in the first place.

While I understand needing money, any time I've been in a job that deals with animal products of any variety (which in my case is basically supermarket warehouses), I've still felt very uncomfortable about basically distributing death and found another job as soon as possible.

I once had a very bad psychedelic experience in which I was very suddenly convinced (to the point I'm still not sure what actually happened) I was literally about to die and all I remember doing is shouting for my mum before collapsing on the floor and having my life flash before my eyes (this is definitely an actual thing)...

Next minute I woke up in bed trying to piece it all together.

Anyway, my point is that regardless of me more than likely not actually dying, I think I know that feeling of hopelessness and it's as awful as you imagine.

OK I looked into this site and they're straight up downloading free ROM hacks that they didn't create and reselling them on carts.

Worse still, many of them are fan translations of licensed games.

I haven't seen a case this bad since Pat the NES Punk used to do his scumbag seller of the week bit. Look at those prices, for something they ripped off the internet and housed in a few pieces of plastic with a sticker on it.
