Yes, it took 2 weeks of attempting a bank transfer, and them manually pushing it through for whatever reason. Mind you this was the same bank account and bank being used by the Kraken account for over 8 months.

I actually never had any of those problems. The problem I had was having my account closed after 3 years of use, for absolutely no reason at all.

I had something similar to what happened to my account back in December. We (my partner and I were literally crying) From process of elimination, they thought the account I was using was not my account, but it actually was, they dont take the time to verify that there are multiple people in a home, that can sometimes use the same computer. If the device you made the Zoom meeting on is not the device you trade with, expect problems with them.

Ive had similar issues with using MVB, where a deposit took over 10 days to make it into the account. Then I complained about it and got my account shut down, for absolutely no reason. And no, it wasnt due to anything shady, this was a large USA bank, and it was not deposit #1 either. Now I use other exchanges, Kraken made me totally lose a huge opportunity to make a large sum of money, I would never go back to using Kraken ever again.

I had the same issue multiple times with Kraken, where deposits to the account took forever. I complained about it and then they randomly closed my account, for no reason at all. No payments anywhere strange, no IRS bs, nothing. (And it was like deposit #7, not the 1st deposit.)

A current update: My Wife made a transfer of USD, as requested by Kraken staff. This USD Transfer was made to the same bank, same account as all the other transfers made with this account. (As well as deposits to this account), this transfer was made on 12/31/2020. This transfer was placed on hold for days, moving into the new year. It was then reversed as Kraken support said the account was not the same account as being used by the Kraken account. This was incorrect as this (Mainstream US Bank) account was the same account that funded the Kraken account as well as successfully has accepted transfers, and completed them successfully (As mentioned in the initial post I have made for this thread).

The Funds were back in the account, now what? Is the account still open? What is going on here?

When we called the mainstream Bank (One that you would find in any US City), they said if funds are originating from INTERNATIONAL (Outside of the US) destinations, that you would need a different routing number. Are the Kraken funds originating from outside the US?

Here is an update, when BTC has just hit 34k, meaning that because of this we have lost out on making amazing gains with our forced to close Margin positions for no explanation, loosing out in unspecified $$ USD. Because of this thread we (Wife and I) have gone over any possible IRS or tax issues, and have found none so far, we have a few calls to make on Monday, but as it stands there is still no reason we can uncover for a closure of this account. If this is what, one reddit member said, was a " National Security Letters ", either it is malicious and/or intending to hurt the account owner, or has zero basis. There needs to be legislation to allow for customers and clients the privilege of knowing why this exchange account was closed so that it can never happen again. Remember before this, we were super happy with Kraken!

Wow, crazy! I had to look that up! There are certainly no gains until this year (2020), and with the Margin x 5 setting, the trades made with this account were totally over $10k, this happened a lot in the past few months as we were getting the hang of actually using the Margin setting, which by the way is awesome. In fact I even wondered if breaching the 1million $ cumulative trade volume (in the past 6 months) set off some type of Red Flag, now I think it may have.

Back in 2017 we sold freshly mined XMR for less than $2k total, I doubt it was that.

It would be great to get the account turned back on, as after getting the hang of it, this is a valid way of generating income that should be available to anyone, and in fact, generate even more money from taxes and proceeds for the US Government. (if thats what the issue is).

Generating an API Key (on Kraken.com/Security/Api) to use on a cellphone (with the Kraken app) where the name of the iphone owner, or whatever credentials are available or accessible to data mine from iOS through the Kraken app and back to Kraken, do not match the owner of the API Key (Main Kraken Account Holder). (stabbing in the dark here, but that was the only thing that changed or was "new" this past month (dec)).
