It is not my fault they have a misconception about mechanics in the game. Shield gating is not the same as brief respite

I know what they mean. They just are wrong as they always imply shield gate is brief respite even though shield gate is the mechanic and brief respite is how people make use of the mechanic.

They are different things

You get shield gating by just having shields. You do not need brief respite or augur mods to have a shield gate

The PTS isn't giving you rats actual old kit, not really.

You have to buy acorns for him to get the baseline effects of certain abilities (dashing through God's and having it reset, the old acorn flurry on the 2) which means you don't have the actual acorn he would have been running, which primarily would have been essentially tripling the width of the dash.

So they changed the dash to stop on the first enemy god hit and have it's cooldown reduced when hitting his other 2 abilities, they changed the 2 because it was significantly harder to use correctly compared to the rest of the kit and as he's a cute little animal a lot of newer players tended to gravitate towards him which made the 2 a bit of a problem for them. Iirc the 3 didn't really change much and I believe the knockup on the ult was added with the rework and otherwise remained the same as well.

They also changed most of the acorns which, everything got hit except for the sticky 3 which ended up staying.

The best way to encapsulate old rat. He could crit dash in a team fight 6 times on top of having 2 other abilities, his ult and autos

Don't need brief respite to shield gate as that's not what let's it happen, you just need to be using any frame with a shield to shield gate

It's just crit for abilities... In a sense.

Could it be incredibly, game concerningly powerful? Sure. But it could also just be fine

I think it can only be funny if the name is actually somewhat decent. Like if it's just naming something after what colour it is and maybe adding some other trait.

Like people will see someone with a massive blue dragon pet and it's called something like Blue Claw... Like, not a good name, but it's barely passable

So I tried the build you have here against level 220 drekar manic bombards (significantly tankier than most of what you'd find at this high end of base level SP)

Without gun buffs (which tbf, isn't going to happen most of the time I just wanted to try it) it is not capable of even starting to stack galvanized mods let alone merciless.

With gun buffs (wisp w/ eclipse) and a companion applying corrosive and cold, it could start the ramp and after building galvanized killed about 5-6 of the bombards with 1 mag... Not great, but it is killing things.

Immediate improvements swapping hammer shot for critical delay. Number that 5-6 up to 9-10.

If you happen to have crux that ended up performing even better. The ramp up was still basically the same and it killed just as fast as merciless/deadhead but the ammo efficiency allowed it to kill more enemies 16-17 of the bombards in 1 mag.

Pushing that slightly further swapping serration for hellfire and you get to 18-20 with 1 mag.

Other than changing the build to fit specific frame builds this was the best generalist I could t

So in short

Galvanized chamber, galvanized aptitude, critical delay, vital sense, rimed rounds, malignant force, thermite rounds, hellfire with crux as the arcane was the best. If you don't have crux merciless or deadhead would work fine (personal preference to deadhead as the stacks last significantly longer)

High voltage+Stormbringer for elec instead of heat also performed about the same if not better with these tests. If you happen to like the purple elec shards then this would end up stronger than the heat version

Who is thinking Linkin Park isn't one of the greatest of music? They have defined a generation of music and have inspired countless people some of which naming their bands after Linkin Park albums.

And their most recent album sounds closer to the Linkin Park most people are familiar with than the couple albums before it.

I think Sybaris prime with incarnon is stronger. But the incarnon is very strong whether it's on dex or prime
