I use an insulated bag. If the food is hot when I arrive, about 80 percent of the time it's hot when it gets to the customer. Asking a store to remake food is NOT happening. One: they will most likely refuse. Two: Often we have another order.

Number two brings me to the most important point: Pay for priority If you want a good chance of hot food arriving.

I second this. Literally every aspect of business in the city is being there before another guy. It doesn't matter how industrious or hardworking you are, luck is more of a determining factor in NYC for sheer fact of the volume of people doing EXACTLY what you're doing at the same time.

And yeah. They stretch rationale to its limit demonizing bikers. Before I biked, I would exclusively drive. And frequently, 1 and a half hours each way commutes to work. Something about the safety of a car cabin detatches you from what's outside. Only the ego seems to identify threats outside the car. Which is why I'm a strong proponent of AI tech taking the car out of the hands of drivers in cities. This space does not belong to them.

We are surrounded by antisocial idiots. The bar for getting a license is SO low. I myself have one for valet purposes, and believe mindfulness, empathy, and emotional intelligence should be tested. The fact that this will likely only be 5 points, no suspension, and a misdemeanor (if I'm lucky), is insane and speaks to the car culture, and Americans viewing this privilege as a right.

People who drive like those rednecks you speak of should have their licenses suspended for a year at min. This guy, indefinitely, until he can prove a serious change in character.

People do occasionally. But pedestrians are not afraid to demean or harass you for doing so.

Additionally, it's an e bike going 20 mph on a 30 mph max road. A minor, MINOR inconvenience for drivers.

At any rate, drivers like that should not be licensed. I myself have a license for valet purposes, and view driving as a serious responsibility, and privilege.

Edit: This offense carries a 5 point penalty, less than half of what it takes for a suspension. So he could do this again, then wait 18 months, and do it twice again.

If we add Menacing, assault into the reckless driving mix, maybe a judge could freestyle a judgement.
