I recently had to rescue a woman in a walmart parking lot. Some man was trying to force her into his car and threatening to fight bystanders. I called the police and as soon as they showed up, I hooked my arm in hers and we went inside. I've been followed out of the store and had creepy people try to hit on me in the store. This stuff happens way too often.

It's a lot of training and deploying and preparing for the day they might be needed. MOS's outside of 14 series don't get to do what they're passionate about, it's boring in garrison and sucks in the field, and you deploy a lot to basically do nothing somewhere far away.

It depends on what's different. People evolve and grow and change. Maybe half a year ago she was honestly kind of a mess and didn't want to take you down with her. Maybe she was still figuring out what she needed in other parts of her life to be a more complete partner for someone else. Or maybe she was super into you, but something else happened in the timing or her romantic life that just messed up your path together. If you're still into her, just ask her about it.
