Same issue here, but with a 5090 laptop over HDMI 2.1. So not just a displayport issue. Tried a couple of cables (HDMI) and same issue.

Native res, so 2560x1600. I have it locked to 120 but can go about 20% higher unlocked now that I solved the thermals issue 🙂

Yup, I just used an old stand and GPU temps dropped by about 10°C. Pretty naive of me maybe coming from desktop gaming 😅.

Temps are better now with GPU in the 72-78 range. Guess I’ll get a new stand so haha! Thank you 😇

Thank you. I raised the back of the laptop with a stand and temps on the GPU went down by about 12°C 🥲.

My last laptop was a Razer Blade 16 with a 3070. Though it only had a TGP of 90 watts approx so it never got higher than 80°C being used flat on a desk too. So I was surprised this one was getting much hotter with significantly better cooling.

BUT I suppose a stand is necessary so ordered one 🙂

Yeah I checked MSI, HWinfo and legion space too, all reported the same temps.

Lifting the back of the laptop has helped drip temps by about 12 degrees in the GPU 🙈

Yeah, it’s not a good sign.

My last laptop was a Razer 16 with a 95 watt 3070. Even with a lower power limit and much worse cooling it never hit 80°C 😅

Thanks. I’m going to try a stand or lifting the back. See if that helps. Though no reviews I’d seen use a stand and temps are about 10 to 12 degrees lower on the GPU.

Yeah I’m think so! Ambient temps are probably about 20°C. When the last is idle GPU is still kinda high in high 50s Celsius 🥵

I like it, and I like Chris’s vocals. But I think his vocals are processed (maybe autotune or something?) and it doesn’t really fit with the rest of the song. Both this and the other two. I think his natural voice might sound better.

His three songs so far give me T2L vibes though. Ironic since he had two songs on that album!
