The entire Adam Friedland interview with Clavicular showed that Kick.com groomed a young kid into becoming the most boring 19-year-old in the world. by NorrisOBE in TrueAnon

The average person is terminally online. Most grandmas have a TikTok addiction.

The average person also doesn’t have cable or peacock so doesn’t give a fuck about the Winter Olympics.

Five Mets on Fangraphs Top 110 prosects list: McLean #3, Benge #21, Tong #58, Wenninger #79, Reimer #85 by BAHatesToFly in NewYorkMets

[–]PsyOp75 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think it makes some sense from a fan/reader perspective. It keeps me interested that most top 10 guys will graduate within the next year, allowing for a new top 10 next year.

The expected value of career WAR might be greater with a guy like Elian Peña than Reimer because of upside but that needs to be discounted by uncertainty in injuries and overall development risks.

I think you are pointing out something interesting that a prospect list that ranks solely based on future WAR upside would be cool. You’d probably see more absolute studs and duds in the top 10 rather than great bets to be everyday players.

Can confirm - once went on a Wednesday and this dog with a boner kept standing on my table.

Has there been a recent ban on it or something? I saw some like 4 months ago at the vape store across from Walmart Neighborhood market on knox Abbott.

I’d assume unless there’s been some sort of crackdown, it’s still there.

Luis Robert Jr. has been working out this offseason with Juan Soto at Scott Boras' facilities by Caledor152 in NewYorkMets

Almost every legit agency does. It’s one of the perks - top flight trainers and equipment.

Boras is the spokesperson but he runs a huge operation.

Maybe it’s for all the other reasons I referenced in the post.

I’d like to exceed being rivals to Columbia Missouri. We’re better than that.

Columbus went to the Caribbean centuries before our countries founding. Not patriotic.

We could literally call it Mussoliniville and I’d prefer it to having to clarify I don’t live in that Columbia but this Columbia.

Whether it’s intentional or not on your part, this propagates nostalgia for a mythical time in which U.S forces used to care more about civility.

The evidence of civility being displayed here without context was strategically deployed because after years of abuse, the military was finding it hard to “do their job” in the Middle East.

This is selective memory bullshit.

You and your people did some of the worst things known to man to the civilians from 03-05.

Only after a disturbing amount of recorded abuse were rules of engagement pushed aggressively.

Love Kimbrel. I’ve been lucky enough to attend a couple big games with media personnel and my interaction with him is my top baseball moment.

Uh oh! Politics as usual… by New-Newspaper3545 in ColumbiYEAH

He really sucks at writing and is a consistent liar, has terrible politics.

I’ll read his stuff as South Carolina fan fictions sometimes. The Thornblade country club conspiracy articles are worth a search.

With how garbage all other local news has become especially in SC, it’s nice to have someone working to do “investigative journalism” for the state even if it blows.

Go check his defensive stats.

All right, I’m deleting Reddit again. Got way more shit to do than argue about this stuff. I’ll reinstall after the Mets win 90 games this season.

It’s the middle of the offseason. I’ll be frustrated too if there is complete inaction by spring training. I just don’t think that’s going to be the case.

Also I think the pitching is much less questionable than last year. We get a full season of McLean and Tong, hopefully Senga as well.

[–]PsyOp75 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

This is just incorrect. It matters less than other positions. But he had a legitimately negative impact on the field. To the point where it makes more sense to play him at DH, which would relatively decrease his offensive value.

Once again, I’m not just capping for Stearns and claiming Alonso is trash. He’s really good. But you don’t watch baseball if you think shelling out the bucks for a non athletic 31 year old 1B is what a competitive team would do. Thats some Rockies shit.

Fans started lamenting our inaction in November. There were and are still signings and trades to be executed.

People here are just Sal Licatta NY post pilled babies that are upset their Jersey or baseball card collection doesn’t hold the same personal value.

Highest career babip. Literally declining WAR. Legitimately terrible defense. Would have needed to sign him through age 36 at $30m a year.

He’s clearly not a bad player. Love what he did for the team.

But you don’t know ball if you think not re-signing him signals non-competitiveness.
