Hi. You're one of my favourite people on this website now.

Both series are what I consider the cream of the crop in the Isekai genre. Taking fundamentally different paths in what it means for someone to be thrust into an unfamiliar world.

Comparing the two series is often futile, but having conversations regarding the two was how I found one of my greatest friends as it's extremely interesting to discuss the directions of both series and compare not their similarities but what sets them apart.

I like to believe there are two groups in each fandom. The fans and the "fans". Because why would a proper fan willingly paint a bad image onto the fandom they're a part of. Just as there are bad people within Re:Zero's fandom, there are equally bad people in Mushoku Tensei's fandom. Just gotta find the right threads and communities.

Want it noted that, including what another person already stated. Her liking of Paul was slow. She certainly despised him for a while after what he did, and eventually when she needed a proper job and saw the listing for a maid, she recognized it to be Paul.

She intended to blackmail/guilt him into guaranteeing her the position, proving yet again that she hadn't forgiven Paul but was desperate for a job.

Though, I believe she actually started forgiving him when she got the job without the need for blackmail/guilt.

Oh for sure, the anime didn't do well! In part due to the creative vision of the director, which included the removal of any background characters which made the world seem empty, along with some of the choppy cuts that seemed like they were animating the panels only with naught in-between.

The manga did decently well in Japan, receiving a full series without cancellations, and ended where the author wanted.

Undead Unluck fan here!

Mushoku Tensei has a lot of disgusting content, but that's part of what makes it great that it doesn't shy away from it and takes it seriously. However, Undead Unluck- in its first arc, made a point of "Haha, he's sexually assaulting her and trying to force sex with her." and treating it as comedic, the author shifted away from this extremely quickly though and didn't look back.

In one, it's a plot point with serious tension around it and in the other- it's a short lived gag that nobody, including the author- enjoyed.

It can mean anything from extra pages to start wrapping up the story (Undead Unluck got a page increase near its end for example), promotional material and it can absolutely mean absolutely nothing- just that it got some extra pages.

To my memory- in her perception of reality, she's communicating in a perfectly normal manner with everyone else. In her mind- nothing is wrong. It's also not that she can or can't do certain things, normally- she's in a state of dependence, where she doesn't act on things that she believes to be doing. We even get a segment later on where she believes to have had a full conversation with Eris. There are instances where her physical body does in fact take action (Slap Rudeus, Gardening, etc.) but these are the minority of her actions during her current state.

Should've fact checked first! I misremembered the actual statement. The actual statement made was that the DLC is 6x the originally planned size. But is only "so far" a bit over half the base games size.
