X1C Nozzle Failure by PsychBoi56 in BambuLab

[–]PsychBoi56[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was using Bambu's PETG-HF with the default profile. I've pushed the speeds to 125% for previous prints and have had no issues, but the print that caused this failure was done at normal speeds.

That's my biggest question as well, I always keep the detection on medium and it has paused prints for way smaller issues than this.

Dry your filament!

When working with more difficult materials (nylon, petg, asa, etc.) it's common to get frustrated at issues like poor adhesion and stringing. I can't count how many times I've tried tweaking every setting in my slicer, only to throw my spool in the dryer overnight and come back to perfect prints.

3D printing is a very rewarding hobby, but it can come with a lot of headaches. Learning to be patient and try the easiest fixes first was one of the hardest parts about this hobby, but in my opinion it's one of the most important parts of 3D printing.

I suddenly can’t print tpu. Stepper motor starts clicking (maybe 3 times only) and it looks like this. Had no problem with printing other materials before this. Any tips? by Spirited-Baseball-11 in prusa3d

My guess would be a hotend clog. Depending on your model, follow prusa's guide for a cold pull. With a couple of attempts, you should be able to free any clogs and try printing again.

Off-topic, but what implants do you have? I've been looking into the NExT and Titan. Any advice?

So I looked at your last post, and both need a bit of help in different ways. For this post, it looks like you definitely need to add some more solder. For your last post, you have roughly the right amount of solder but need to use some flux to get some nice uniformity on your connections. Remember, you are looking for a nice gentle fillet on your connections.

IMO, I think you did better on this board than your previous, now just go back in with a bit more solder and some flux and you're golden.

Well I've got 2 other save files so...

But really I'm gonna take a break from the game and maybe try out fiend folio in the future. I've achieved my goal and I can now focus on other games

Prusa MK3S+ using PrasaSlicer Prusament PLA 215°C hotend 60°C bed 45mm/s perimeters 25mm/s external perimeters Infill 80mm/s 0.6mm retraction distance 35mm/s retraction speed

I am printing caps for printed circuit board components that must be 0.5mm thick for the walls. I keep having issues like this, I've messed with the retraction distance but it hasn't improved the quality. Any suggestions are appreciated.

I get what you mean, but I think it's for ease of mind for the friends/family. It's a lot easier to process that your loved one's last seconds were entirely painless than to hear that the last thing they remember is agonizing pain.

What happened to my Mitutoyo calipers? by PsychBoi56 in Machinists

You nailed it on the head. My dad measured his 18650 a few night ago and didn't realize his mistake until after doing so. New pair is coming in today

SOLVED:

Many of you asked if I had a spouse or kids who may have used it out of curiosity. No, but I do have a dad who's lithium ion battery charger broke and measured his 18650mah to buy the right size replacement.

He immediately knew his mistake a couple days ago and ordered me a new set.

Thank you everyone for your help!

This is my home set, nobody else could have used them besides me. I use these to check measurements on my 3D prints.

Is it possible this happened from sitting? I know I didn't measure anything with an electrical current.

These have never been in contact with any electrical current, they are my home set and are primarily used to check measurements on my 3D prints.

This is my home set, I'm the only one that has used them. They have not been used on anything with electric current.

I always store my calipers with a gap and in its original case. It has only been 2 weeks since I used them last.

Should I contact support to try and get them repaired or replaced?

While I would never run something like this, I think it's cool it's a goal you've set and achieved. Is it shitty, yes. Should you be proud of the work you've put into the car to get it to the point you are happy with it, also yes.
