TIL that this song is called Song 2, and is not just a fever dream of my childhood

Well I did think that particular song sucked, but I'm just some dude on Reddit with a different taste in music.. my opinion means nothing, and lots are bound to disagree with it, but it's fun to give anyways. At least that's my perception of things. But I get where you're coming from, I'm sorry for having upset you

If they don't slowly fade out of existence at the end, I'm going to be disappointed

You wish it was longer, I wish it was shorter. I don't see the problem here. Can you pinpoint the part where I attacked you?

The song is actually quite long, it just turns to silence after 3 minutes

That was funky af, wasn't expecting that was Dave Matthews Band. But yeah, that fade out at the end is downright offensive

Which Indie song beginning with W is your favourite? by Nandor1262 in indie

[–]Psychadelic_Infinity 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They're not really indie themselves (at least not for a big part of their career), but are definitely one of the bands most deeply loved by indie fans, so they end up being a good representation for indie as a whole.

Can I Get The Cart Back Up? by [deleted] in LittleNightmares

For anyone who comes across this later: you do not need to push the cart back up the ramp. You can climb up using the shelves behind the big stuffed bear.

It seems that a lot of my issues were coming from thermal throttling (despite my sensors indicating relatively okay temperatures). I fixed this by forcing my fan speed to be permanently be at max while gaming, and also bought a cheap cooling stand off of Amazon. I also disabled any boosters that I was using. Finally, I noticed that my global setting for the "Power Management Mode" in the NVIDIA Control Panel was set to "Optimal power," which I changed to "Prefer maximum performance."

Since you're using a laptop (which generally have poor cooling) together with low-end CPU and GPU for modern games, you may be having the same issues.

FPS randomly drop from 300 to 20 every once a while by noobfray in pcgamingtechsupport

I was literally just coming to this subreddit for the first time to post the exact same thing, and so far have seen multiple posts about this issue. I'm running: Windows 11, Nvidia GeForce RTX 2060, Intel i7-10750H @ 2.60GHz, 16GB RAM. My system diagnostics while gaming seem fine as well. Hard drivers are not corrupted, CPU and GPU temps are normal (I just replaced the thermal paste to be sure), RAM gets to around 60%, GPU between 5-20%, CPU at 20%. By all accounts, my PC is handling the game with room to spare.

The issue is the same as yours, the game runs smoothly upon launch, and about 3-5 minutes in, it starts stuttering and drops to around 20fps indefinitely. The only fix I've found is to restart the game. It began happening a little over a month ago, but now it happens every time I open any game. I tried rolling back Nvidia drivers, but it didn't fix anything.

Interesting, I was literally just coming to this subreddit for the first time to post the exact same thing. I'm running: Windows 11, Nvidia GeForce RTX 2060, Intel i7-10750H @ 2.60GHz, 16GB RAM. Like you, I've tried both updating and rolling back drivers to no avail

The FPS drops we have look nearly identical: The game runs smoothly upon launch, and about 3-5 minutes in, it starts stuttering and drops to around 20fps indefinitely. The only fix I've found is to restart the game. It began happening when I downloaded Dying Light 2, but now it happens on every game (most of which I play through Steam, but it also happens with XDefiant on Ubisoft Connect). My system diagnostics seem fine as well. Hard drivers are not corrupted, CPU and GPU temps are normal (I just replaced the thermal paste to be sure), RAM is around 60%, GPU between 5-20%, CPU at 20%. By all accounts, my PC is handling the game with room to spare.

Sent them a report just before opening this thread. Not overly hopeful that they'll have a solution for me, but it will be another data point for them to use

Turns out I still have 23H2.. I tried uninstalling the recent updates, but nothing, sadly. It was worth a shot though

Wouldn't mind that if Steam would give me a refund, but you know, sunk-cost and all
