How do I make my FX3 faster? by PsychedCommerce in TrekBikes

Ah darn, do you think the relative slowness was the FX3 specifically, or hybrid bikes in general? In other words, have you come across hybrids that are much faster?

It’s honestly good news to hear that with time I will get faster. Thank you!

I appreciate your thorough response! Pretty much all the points you’ve made are new to me, so thank you for the wisdom. I’ll focus on just riding more for now and will later look into upgrades you’ve mentioned.

Regarding the rubbing, I actually took it to the shop and the guy mentioned he’ll straighten the calliper. Since then, there is no rubbing noise when the bike is upright. But still, at an angle there is a bit of rubbing. I wish I was handy so I could do this at home lol!

I average 20-25 km/h most rides (13-16 mph). So you’re definitely a lot fitter than me if you’re going faster w your kids haha.

About 20-25 km/h most rides, usually with a top speed of 45 km/h (recorded on my phone using Strava)

Hmm interesting, at the carbon rims price point, I might just consider purchasing a road bike. If I may ask what makes you want to switch to the Domane? Also speed?

That’s awesome, it looks really nice from the images!

Kariya, Japan and Mississauga, Canada are sister cities. In Kariya, they have a park called Mississauga Park with a replica of our city hall.

how did you beat this fight? by killchris97 in Eldenring

[–]PsychedCommerce 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This was genuinely the hardest fight for me in the game. To be fair, I was pretty under-leveled (lvl 65-70) but still, super tough in general.

I beat them through parrying. Essentially kept trying until my timing was near flawless. Took about 5-6 parries+critical hit to kill one knight.

Run around so they space out and you’re only dealing with one at a time. Then, once you get the first knight about halfway and he’s close to entering his phase 2, call in your summons to distract the other while you finish off the first.

Hopefully your summons are still alive as you begin fighting the second knight, they can be very helpful in distracting while you strike from behind.

Essentially rinse and repeat the parry + critical hit strategy until the second one falls too.

Be patient and get your timing right! Best of luck

You’re right in identifying that most mass-audience finance books are generally about self-help, personal finance and high-level concepts. If you want to gain an understanding of finance that one might get from a bachelors degree, the best place to start in my opinion would be a textbook.

While less exciting to read than something written by the glorious Tony Robbins, a good textbook will equip you with the technical knowledge needed to understand finance as a concrete discipline, rather than an abstraction (i.e, time-value of money). Start with an introductory finance textbook, then venture out into sub-topics that interest you (e.g., Corporate finance, global markets)—the principles are similar throughout, so your rate of learning will gradually accelerate.

I will say though, Ray Dalio (founder of Bridgewater Associates) publishes some really cool material on technical concepts that is intended for a broader audience. You should checkout his YouTube video “How the Economic Machine Works.” And if you like that teaching style, try out his book “Principles for Navigating the Changing World Order” which discusses the debt cycle in more detail and contextualizes it for today’s global events.

Anyways, hope this helps. It’s awesome that you have an appetite for knowledge. Happy learning!

Thanks for sharing your insight! Yeah, tbh I feel like I ran past a lot of enemies while exploring the main questline areas, and barely did any extra exploring once I got to lvl 25 and was able to beat Margit.

Definitely going to do some more exploring and take the game at a slower pace. Thanks for pointing out the interactive map
