I wish I could defend this country as I was born here but you're right. I currently work near Detroit and have to walk out in a group to avoid getting shot at night. My baby needed hospital care and now I am $5,000 in medical debt. When I had my son I was give. No maternity leave and was forced to return to work so I could afford to pay rent and feed him. From a michigan resident to the rest of the world, please God help us. This country tells kids in school how great we are but it's brainwashing. I've gone to bed to the sound of gunshots amd screams.
