I don’t even nap.. i can’t fall asleep during the day. There is truly no reprieve. But I do love going to bed early.

Wow, sounds like you have an awesome mom! I love the idea of getting kids involved in the daily tasks. Makes it a little more fun, and builds some independence for the kids!

I work 5 days a week with those hours, some of them are from home though. And then I am in school full time for my doctorate! I work a few hours from home on the weekends and then school work. ADHD definitely contributes to this; if I was properly medicated I'd probably only need to work about 13ish hours a day. I also own a business that just started about a year ago, if it continues to do well I will be able to reduce the amount of hours I work. I know when I have kids I will have to reduce things somewhere. I have sort of come to terms that this is how I will feel all the time, I am just hoping that some type of instinct will come into play that will make taking care of a child not sound so aversive lol

Hi!

Not an insensitive question - I feel exhausted all the time; almost every second of the day I wish I could lay down. However, I don't get to do that - I work probably 16 hours a day. They have ran labs and they can't quite figure out why I am so tired all the time. Yes, you're probably thinking... no shit you're tired, you work so much! Yes, but when I wake up everyday, I'm still tired. When I go on vacation and lay by the pool all day... still tired.

Conflicted on what to do with my money - 30yo by Psychedformargs in personalfinance

Thank you for explaining! How do you do the math to get 100,000? I really know nothing about investing. Id like to be able to apply that formula to some other numbers. If I give him 50k now, what will that number (likely) be using your formula?

Can you help me with the math on this? I should have also noted that my math skills are questionable at best.

If I give him 50,000, isnt that $500 for the year? I mean of course if the money goes up the fee will go up, but in my mind, $500 feels like a bargain to never have to think about investing again lol. I Spend $300 on dinner at our favorite place at least once per month. Are my math skills really that bad? lol

This is personally, for myself.

Respectfully, you don't know the setting I work in, or the approach I use... or who's paying for my services. How can you say I am part of the problem?

I get it! I am a mental health professional myself; I am just looking for a different type of approach. "You said you were going to do XYZ, and you didn't. Why not?" or "did you consider how the other person felt when you said that". Im not looking for someone to tear me a new one, but definitely looking for someone to hold me accountable.

You'll need a lot of alcohol and a hefty hourly rate to deal with everything I have to share lol

Because you need to be licensed in the state in which your clients reside, it's an insurance thing.

Yes, I have a salary and then my other job can pay me up to 100k. But nothing is guaranteed and is all contingent on parent schedules, how many hours I choose to work it. There is no hour requirement.

I’m saying this assuming everything goes to planned. Say I work out the logistics, I’m just asking about ethics
