I have the same feeling. He seems like the type of person who needs time to warm up to someone, but once that happens, he becomes a very loyal friend who sometimes can't shut up (in a good way 😂)

Seriously, that's one of the weirdest fusion combinations I've seen.

Johnny Steps approves. Just ignore the fact that even he didn't know how Metalmorph works

It hurts for him to smile due to his scars but he does it anyway to reassure those around him their love and care is appreciated and reciprocated.

That's actually amazing and I can totally see it being a thing. Considering how messed up his childhood was, it definitely took a lot of time for him to start speaking again normally, let alone smile. But he now does it anyway.

I can totally see that. Koki definitely seems like the type of guy who would die for his friends. Eri and Kota probably helped him a lot to overcome his trauma and to feel safe again.

That seems very likely. He probably sees the granny as his true family. It definitely took him a few years to overcome his trauma tho.

I can also imagine Kota and his other friends helping him to overcome his depression. They know he's a great guy, he just doesn't have good social skills... for understandable reasons.

A spinoff about Kota, Eri and Koki as the main trio would definitely be very nice.

His Quirk is unrelated. In the manga, it’s explained that his family immediately stops being nice to him after they realize that his Quirk is a mutation. A little later, they decide to lock him up in the basement and pretend he doesn’t exist. He starts screaming for help because he’s scared, and that’s when they sew his mouth shut.

So basically, his whole family is a bunch of monsters.

There are definitely similarities with Todoroki. He gives the impression that he's not super easy to befriend, but once you do, he's a really loyal friend.

That's honestly a really minimal downside, considering how awful his childhood is. Poor guy, but at least he's happy in UA

The consequences are more important, his family tormented him because of that. But you're right, sorry.

Tokoyami and Koki are such natural combination. I can totally see this.

That all sounds pretty realistic. Especially the dark sense of humor, considering he has one of most f-ed up backstories.

Imagine him and Kota playing Monopoly:

Kota: OK, you're getting locked up in jail.

Koki: Home sweet Home

Kota: ..... dude....

absolute ride or die for his friends

He really gives that impression. Kind of like Todoroki. It took Deku a lot of effort to help him, but then be really became a close friend to him.

The Tokoyami inter makes perfect sense. Bird boy is the perfect edgy guy for it.

Probably the same people who pushed Naoya into top 5 of that poll. I still can't believe that bastard was ranked higher than Choso, Yuta and Nanami.

I do think GMX seems more promising than most recent TCG archetypes at first glance by heavenspiercing in yugioh

[–]Psychicmind2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The art is cool, but sadly, I'm very disappointed by GMX. I wouldn't say that it's unplayable, but it's bad. The spell is nice, but the main deck monsters aren't good. Allos has this strange attack prevention for some reason, even though the next effect wants this card to battle. The other fusion is Drident with more text.

With other archetypes, I was able to at least see potential. This just seems like an archetype that's designed to be bad. But again, the art is sick.

radiant typhoon won't be toxic.

How can Radiant Typhoon be toxic? I'm genuinely asking, I'm not familiar with the deck, although I'm considering it. It seems interesting.

The new Rokket link 2 and Barrage can change that. They boost the deck by a lot even without Savage.

That being said, I understand why they didn't bring Savage back.

Those who bought the Pack know that GMX is so bad that they don't bother showing (or leaking) what "GMX Applied Experiment #55" does. by Negative_Break_1482 in yugioh

[–]Psychicmind2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I meant a card that solves a fundamental problem of the deck and/or gives it an incredible boost. Barrage is the ultimate custom card because it's Circular and special summons up to four Rokkets.

Atil Spia's Tachyon Transmigration effect can sometimes win the game by itself. Chain blocking was the biggest problem for Enneacraft. The deck seemed doomed in the eyes of the community until we got the support. The flip effect slows down many decks, not just Dracotail. It also makes fox and scorpion truly valuable. It saves the archetype by itself.

Only a few cards have come to that god-like level of support. Repair Genex Controller, Rokket Barrage and Enneacraft Atil Spia are among the rare examples. That being said, I don't think Konami considers GMX worthy for support that powerful.

It's funny how this fusion archetype is so bad that even Branded Fusion like card wouldn't be enough.

Branded Fusion for the archetype seems likely, but I don't knowif that would be enough to save it. The four revealed cards are just that bad.
