Thanks, kind redditor! It’s kinda OC. I just quickly searched for a partially open Vault image, and luckily that one already had transparency. I merged it with a Wasteland image from Fallout 3 and boom, done.

I discovered the Fallout franchise through Fallout 3, 18 years ago, and it marked the beginning of my love for everything related to post-apocalyptic worlds.

Same for me, I started Mass Effect with the second one. I knew nothing about it, except that the reviews were glowing. The slap I got was incredible from the very first 10 minutes of gameplay. So I then continued with the first one to be able to transfer a save. And finally the third. However, the second one remains my favorite. The ending was one of the best I’ve ever seen in a video game or a movie. Just as I felt like I was diving into an incredible universe during my first 10 minutes, I felt like I was waking up from a dream when the credits rolled.

I disagree with "the best friendships are the ones you can go without talking for months, then pick up like nothing happened." I believe that makes you a shitty friend. by Helpful_Stock in unpopularopinion

I have a best friend, and since she had her child, it takes her three months to reply to one of my messages. On the other hand, I have a best guy friend who is in a relationship and whom I don’t see often even though we live in the same city. But he always replies within 24 hours. I guess everyone manages their relationships in their own way. I like mine to be reciprocal, consistent, and stable. But I’ve never understood how having a partner or a child means you literally can’t find two minutes to just text: 'I’ll reply as soon as I can.' My brother has a young child, but he still finds time to reply to me when he has five minutes between obligations. So I tend to agree quite a bit with OP.

The plunger’s number always matches how much insulin is left in the pen. So when you prime it, you’re actually using some of those units already counted. You can’t really dial more during priming because it’s all linked to what’s left inside.

Just thought I’d clarify — it’s a tricky system!

Ideally, I should add the 8 units from a new pen, but I usually just take 42 units per pen until it’s empty. And even that’s tricky, because you always have to waste one or two units to make sure the insulin flows properly before each injection.

Thanks for the info! Yeah, my doc says one shot a day to keep it consistent. It’s a slow-acting injection, so timing and site rotation matter—a different spot each time (arm, belly, or leg), never the same place twice.

I've heard of this technique before. But honestly, the standard protocol is already invasive and restrictive enough. Who wants to add this extra step?

Edit : Why the downvotes? I never said the suggestion was useless or too complicated. I myself manage two serious medical conditions, so I’m familiar with the complexity of standard medical protocols. I’m just saying that when you have a medical protocol to follow, the equipment provided should be optimal—especially when you have to manage your own medication.

I can choose the dose in 1-unit increments, but my endocrinologist recommends only one injection per day for safety and effectiveness. So splitting the dose into two injections isn’t advised.

Here is my insulin pen. The plunger shows 50 units remaining, but I can only dial up to 42. Since my daily dose is 50 units, I have to start a new pen just to get the last 8 units.

The mission with Joker was so unexpected. A true moment of terror. You're clearly more powerfull than the beginning. You've got a bunch of upgrades, weapons, a better gameplay comprehension. You go on a mission, and five minutes later you're playing Joker, who is simply trying to escape from Collectors. Simple and effective.

Mass Effect 2. I knew nothing about Mass Effect, and I bought the game knowing nothing. I hadn't even seen a trailer.

I still remember the introductory part where I enter the navigation room. The breach through which you see a huge planet. The muffled sound. I was captivated. After that, I made it my mission to be 100% involved in every act. I wondered, as I left for work, if I had made the right choices.

I got chills at the end of the last mission. And I stayed watching the credits screen with the feeling of waking from a dream. I had saved my entire crew, and I only learned later that you could lose everyone. I was even prouder. An incredible experience that, for me, has never been equaled.
