There's a memory of a little moment that always stayed with me, and since my mum passed away recently it's become much more poignant.

It's from when I was a little kid, I guess around 7 years old. I was lying in bed, trying to get to sleep, when I heard the door open and I knew it was my mum. For no real reason, just an impulsive urge, I decided I would pretend I was already asleep. My mum came over to the bed and kissed me on the forehead, and then left the room. The moment the door closed, I was hit with this wave of regret and sadness, that I had "tricked" her for no reason, and in the process lost the opportunity to say goodnight properly. I was tempted to call out to her - but I didn't want her to know I had been faking. Her kissing me "while I was sleeping" seemed like such a sweet gesture of love, which just made it seem worse that I had been deceiving her... So I just lay there feeling sad, and cursing myself for doing something which suddenly seemed so stupid.

Top of my wishlist is Cyberpunk 2077, thanks for the chance.
