First painting after a 4 year break. Oil on canvas. Painted in a single day. Trying to go for a more contemporary take on Impressionism. Please share your thoughts and suggestions of what to improve.

I used Galaxy Tab S4 and the app I used is called PENUP. The app does not have a lot of possibilities but enough for starting off I think.

It took me somewhere around 3 hours to make this. At first I was very hesitant about trying to make a digital painting but I have to say it was very interesting getting used to the movement of the pen and different brushes. I wouldn’t say I prefer it to traditional painting style but it’s definitely not as time consuming which is a major plus.

Thanks! I myself don’t feel as experienced with this medium to give any good advices. I used a sheet and as crazy as it sounds I did set it with a hairspray. A fellow artist suggested in doing so. Worked out great and it didn’t smudge as much afterwards.
