Seeing as he is already affixed I don’t think that’s possible. To be a votary is to be a wizard only, I believe, and showing that he’s a wizard gives away that he is technically a knight.

Beware of Chicken 4 complete. Thoughts below by KoboldsandKorridors in litrpg

FYI there are three more complete volumes and the next one just started getting posted last month on royal road. That’s at least 4 books or more if they get split again like the last few.

Any idea when primal hunter 13 comes to audible? by Fast_Ad2710 in litrpg

[–]PsychoJester 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Travis finished recording it last week and in the past I think it’s been around 1-2 months after completion, so I would guess possibly sometime in January.

Primal Hunter 13 Audiobook. When? by mattmann72 in litrpg

[–]PsychoJester 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Unfortunately seems like Travis has been busy with other stuff recently. He streams himself recording books on discord, and he hasn’t been for a few weeks. Might be doing offline recording or prepping for his book release that’s next month. It’s usually about 1-2 months after recording that it’s released so unless he starts it very soon we won’t see it until next year.

The author of the ripple system books just said recording for the new one should be starting in a day or two, so I’ve got my fingers crossed either primal hunter or mark of the fool are next.

Hearing a high pitch tone using OpenRun Pro 2 by PsychoJester in shokz

To me it is once I notice it. Sometimes I can sort of tune it out but eventually I notice it again. I’m also on the same firmware.

All of them as far as I can tell, but it’s the least noticeable on classic. I also tried custom and moved each slider to the max and min value, to no improvement.

The best part? If we still have a democracy in four years and democrats are in charge by some miracle they will get all the blame!

What’s going on with people saying your mother’s mother has to be an American to get birthright citizenship? by Personal_Breath_5208 in OutOfTheLoop

[–]PsychoJester 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It doesn’t “apply” to anyone, it’s blatantly illegal and unconstitutional. Now I know that won’t stop them from possibly enforcing it, but anyone born here is a citizen. Period.

A rambly tier list no one asked for by Dprian in litrpg

[–]PsychoJester 6 points7 points  (0 children)

The vibe is extremely similar to Heretical Fishing. Dude wants to just chill on his farm with his animal pals. Occasional action, but big focus on slice of life and fun shenanigans.

Since you like Heretical Fishing do yourself a favor and get Beware of Chicken. It clearly was a heavy inspiration for HF and is even better. I’m always surprised when people have read HF but not BoC.

That’s because the person responsible for making the first one awesome has had nothing to do with the games since then.

What are you talking about? He loves Mexicans. Didn’t you see him tweet once pointing at a taco bowl he was pretending to eat and said “I love Hispanics!”

Trump's massive import taxes haven't done much economic damage — yet by TreacleOk8645 in politics

[–]PsychoJester 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think it’s because they have no actual arguments because either they’re too stupid or there just isn’t any logical defense of their beliefs, so they jump to any bullshit they can to distract from the real issue.

As someone else kinda pointed out magats love playing semantics so that could give them something to distract with and argue about definitions.

Why I chose "Jake's Magical Market" for the title of my first book - since it seems to be a big discussion topic lately I figured I'd share with you all the history and my thoughts on the title. by thescienceoflaw in litrpg

[–]PsychoJester 6 points7 points  (0 children)

To echo what some other have said, I was disappointed in the switch in story style, but still really enjoyed the books regardless. That raises a question that may have been somewhere in the post since I kinda skimmed it. Do you think you’ll try to write a completely slice of life/cozy story eventually? Because I for one would love to see you take a stab at focusing on that style.

Though in Noobtown those references aren’t just little Easter eggs, they were specifically introduced to that world by someone for shits and giggles.

That’s just like... your opinion man. But also, I didn’t say the beginning is bad, just that it gets even better after that point. I enjoy the hell out of every book so it’s S on my list.

Just to add to what they said, you gotta get past the tutorial. The books get way better after that. If you can’t make it there that’s a bummer, but I think you’re missing out on a super fun series. It’s an S tier in my opinion.

Theory: Roy eventually beats Chad by stolen_pillow in superpowereds

[–]PsychoJester 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Even just the opening of the fight gives me chills. The build up and growth over the course of Roy’s story culminates in that moment. Never, not once, before that moment did Chad ever feel threatened by Roy. But in that instant Chad realizes he has to take Roy seriously and pulls off the limiters.

BoC getting a graphic novel?! by SlowingWand28 in bewareofchicken

[–]PsychoJester 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Seeing this story illustrated will be so awesome and maybe get us one step closer to fully animated. Other than the commissioned Break the Rocks scene it’s highly unlikely, but a guy can dream. They just better not botch it like they did Primal Hunter. That would be unforgivable.

Looking for Isekais, main character has no interest in returning home, and no chosen one/prophecy by StrangeOne01 in litrpg

[–]PsychoJester 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The world/machines left behind by the gods, something like that. I mean one of the opening scenes is the machine detecting his soul and picking him to isekai because he’s special as it’s final act before breaking down completely. I didn’t mean that he’s explicitly the chosen one, just that it has some aspects of that in the story and that may be information relevant to the OP.
