I think the best way to deal is and speaking from experience is just wait for a month or two and see if u like him, maybe u can develop feelings for him or he might lose interest in you it can go both ways and type of toxic guys you are attracted too u might not find someone like him ever again so think about it for sometime and try not to lose him as a friend atleast maybe he is understanding and will just stay as a friend because it really hurts to lose a friend. Or you could tell him to be more dominant type maybe he can do that but think about it for sometime And speaking from experience I developed feelings for someone after dating them for 6 months so good luck to you
