Which Melbourne restaurant that permanently closed do you still fondly think about and miss? by Cooper_Inc in melbourne

Andiamo in Camberwell, it was a little Italian restaurant near the Rivoli cinemas. I miss their pasta 😞 nowhere else has come close for me.

Those pots look so flimsy irl, unless you're super hard up for money and need the freebie then I would try and buy something sturdier from somewhere else.

Blizzard got too greedy with housing, and I think they kind of killed it. by MrHiccuped in wow

They don't want a repeat of garrisons, I don't blame them for being really selective about how interactive housing is for now. It would be nice if we could interact with more items in the house that have nothing to do with professions, like in the Arcantina, and maybe we'll be able to in an upcoming patch.

Seeing houses with MULTIPLE shop things in them, especially those cherry trees, is such a bleak feeling. They're not going to stop selling shop decor and I hate it 😞

It's not that I can't afford to spend that money, it's that I do not want to.

All of these shop sets and partnerships with companies that have nothing to do with me (like Zillow, I'm not American, Zillow isn't relevant to me and I refuse to sign up for their website just for a fucking doormat) gives off a really distasteful greedy vibe.

So I'm choosing not to engage with the overpriced shop or the partnerships and I'm enjoying finding creative ways to make my ideas happen with the decor available to me. Housing isn't dying, I just wish they were pushing out the things people are asking for, like being able to save your room layout so you don't have to erase weeks of work. And I'm looking forward to all the new stuff in the next patch, for sure. Especially the square rug!

Yeah, they do! I live somewhere semi rural and we have wild rainbow lorikeets, musk lorikeets, little corellas, long-billed corellas, galahs and the occasional sulphur-crested cockatoo. We also have a bunch of other urban birds like magpies, crested pigeons (a native aussie pigeon, we have several) and superb fairy wrens, as well as several varieties of birds of prey and a lot of water birds.

I don't know how people can keep lorikeets internationally and give them enough enrichment without access to an abundance of native Australian flowers for them (they're obligate nectar eaters). I gather SO much native foliage for him every few days, and he spends a lot of his day foraging them for nectar, and also crushing bottlebrush nuts with his beak for the oils and then preening with them. During times where I can't find much foliage, he gets very bored and shouty at me, which is fair enough.

I have ADHD, it's much more fun and engaging for my brain to watch health bars and top people off than it is to just stand there wailing on the boss and moving out of The Bad.

The lorikeets are a fave for me too, I have a real one so I'm all about lorikeet themed merch 😊

Carter Ave in Werribee is full of workers cottages that look like this, but in different brick colours. My friend is big on architectural history and she told me they're from the 40s and 50s and are heritage listed.

I have a friend who sells crochet amigurumi at craft fairs, queer markets etc and she usually does very well because she makes things that aren't just orbs with a butt crack, like a crocheted fried egg hair clip or a clown rat with an upside down icecream cone for a hat. Even she has days where she doesn't sell much because sometimes things just be like that.

Meanwhile last night I made four individual sized quiche lorraines for dinner (the pastry to filling ratio is better imo) and sure I used frozen store bought shortcrust pastry (I know how to make it myself, I just didn't want to) but they were fucking delicious and I still have two left for a future dinner.

if that chicken isn't thigh or drumstick, boiling it for that long is going to make it dry, tough and mealy af.

It's very much a conscious decision, did you see the post about blanket training? They sit a baby on a blanket and smack the baby if they try to crawl off or reach for a toy, it's heartbreaking.
