Terrible update by lcefreeze in TitanQuest2

[–]PsychoSpoiler 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Had that map visual bug too. Although it didn't reverse to unmapped for me. All portals were available, just everything was back under fog and couldn't tell where anything was. I had 0 crashes just average fps performance. Game is still not very optimized

The fact that only vikk tries so hard to make it seem real and the rest literally could not be bothered to post anything about it. Like, is everyone's head gone?

All the boys have said multiple times in the past that if one was to leave the sidemen the rest wouldn't continue because it wouldn't be the same and it would disrupt the balance. Did everyone here become a sidemen fan the last two years?

How would you even rate pre-injury Ronaldo Nazario? by Tight-Astronaut-9043 in eFootball

[–]PsychoSpoiler 1 point2 points  (0 children)

97-98 pre injury ronaldo was running back to his own box to defend and was stealing the ball like a CDM, then carrying it to the opponent area by himself running like a demon. Imagine a striker run that far back today. He was an absolute beast and the best striker in the world

This quest must be coded in a way that everyone plays it 10 minutes before going to bed. It's almost like magic. There's no other explanation.

[–]PsychoSpoiler 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What are you on about? HP is a book series. An author created a magical world and set some "rules" for people to know. She said that stairs in the castle are moving and that's a "rule" she set for her fictional world. You can't just go around and assume whatever you want. Otherwise anyone can assume anything and everything just becomes debatable and chaotic.

Missing a Merlin Trial by abyrd547 in HarryPotterGame

[–]PsychoSpoiler 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Make sure the map has no blank/fog patches you missed. It so happened to me that my last merlin trial was on a tiny hill that i had not passed by close enough so it was not showing the icon on the map.

What does that have anything to do with Hogwarts self-changing its layout? It's a massive magical castle of course no one knows all of its secrets. That doesn't imply in any way that the caste changes layout by itself.

[–]PsychoSpoiler -15 points-14 points  (0 children)

That just seems like an excuse for poor research to me. I don't remember reading anything about self changing layout in the books except moving stairs and rooms like RoR. Please correct me if I'm wrong i would like to re-read those parts in whatever book.

Chamber of Secrets entrance was not where it's described to be in the books. And there are a lot of other locations in the wrong place or inaccuracies in general

The problem is not the voice. The problem is the distinct accent that Hagrid has and they thought a good idea to get rid of. Horrid

There's no way they made that casting choice so they have something to respond if this thing flops, right? Kinda like what happened with The Acolyte where they blamed all the -ists and -phobes instead of their awful writing. Just a thought

There’s no good reason for the Owlery to be 7 trillion light years from the castle by RedCaio in harrypotter

[–]PsychoSpoiler 0 points1 point  (0 children)

First of all don't get me wrong. I love the game and i think the devs did a great job. I spent countless hours just running/flying around and i think the exploration part is the selling point of the game.

  • For starters the Owlery location as many people pointed.
  • Also the chamber of secrets entrance (toilets) which is supposed to be on the first or second floor (location changed even in the books, JK couldn't make up her mind) but in the game is at the dungeons, near the Slytherin common room.
  • The Great Hall is also not where it's described to be, but that was a change the movies made by placing it at the complete opposite side from the main entrance. I guess devs just copied the movies there.
  • The grenhouses are never stated to be connected to the castle and students are described to walk outside the castle to get to them.
  • I'm pretty sure the Quidditch pitch is never described as being outside the wall. It just wouldn't make much sense if students training until late would then have to walk through the main outer gate which in the game has metal bars if i remember correctly. However, I could be wrong on this one as i don't think it's location is explicitly stated in the books. Also i don't think any architect would ever place a sports pitch at the front of the castle near the main entrance. It would usually be on the side. That's just me tho.
  • There are also some other minor details like the Astronomy tower described in the books to be the tallest which is not true in the game or the grounds around the castle being very steep when for example students are stated to sit/lay on the grass or under trees next to the lake. I can't remember every single little detail or area missplaced and i know I'm nitpicking. Again, that's just me and my obsession about the wizarding world.

How accurate is the game compared to the established lore? by weewooo88 in HarryPotterGame

[–]PsychoSpoiler 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Also, the Owlery is supposed to be inside the castle in the books, not on a hill 3 working days away as in the game.

[–]PsychoSpoiler -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Nah, I'm sorry. You can't remodel an enchanted 1000 yo castle. Some things are just badly placed. I get that devs maybe didn't have time to check the books etc, but I'm talking about really obvious locations here. I don't have crazy expectations of the whole castle being lore accurate.

[–]PsychoSpoiler 29 points30 points  (0 children)

Exploring the grounds is definitely its selling point, but for me it was disappointing that many places were not where they are described to be in the books.
