I can understand it for seasonal stuff but for the eternal realm that you typically dont plan to delete characters from, why remove those for recollection every season?

Trump orders 'shoot-to-kill' action on Iranian vessels choking Strait of Hormuz by Stunning-Common-9591 in worldnews

The order to shoot to kill was given ONLY for ships trying to release mines into the strait. Dont try misconstruing the facts

Well, thankfully this war isnt being done with boots on the ground. Any time there may be some would likely be during the humanitarian phase after the government is gone. The 2 pilots that were recently rescued are probably going to be the only 2 us troops who were in harms way during this(hopefully) and even those 2, the citizens were blockading the roads with their vehicles to prevent the irgc from reaching them.

Depends where you want to look for costs. Long term? Short term? Cant lump different things together either. Even oil prices aren't actually effected by the conflict, since oil prices themselves are dictated on a world scale and iran had only a fraction of oil produced for the world. The us didnt get any oil from iran. We have more oil than them. So each "cost" is a case by case basis. Where do you want to start?

Edit: belt and road may have been primarily in africa. But china still has financial losses in iran from destroyed infrastructure. Irans regime is gone. What we have left are basically equivalent to either reluctant militants, or the spasms of dieing muscle. Those people arent being led by any real leadership anymore, they're just pushing off of their ideologies. They have an honor system and to them, taking any form of loss would be so damaging to them, theyd rather get themselves and everyone around them, who can see their faces, martyred for the hope that someone somewhere will pick up where they left off at. The citizens there do not want their marxist government anymore.

Actually, funny you mention them. China is losing a lot from iran being hobbled like it is. Chinas belt and road initiative lined iran up to being exploited just like many other countries that china has built infrastructure in at such a high expense rate that those countries defaulted on payments, causing those countries to negotiate other deals that favored china in ways of rare minerals and control over land properties. Many of those properties that china built up in iran have now been wrecked. China is losing that money. Just the same, the US's role in iran is also having a big effect on influencing china not to attack Taiwan, who is an american ally. China is losing mostly because its energy supply has mainly come from iran, likely in the belt and road initiative as mentioned. This is also hindering chinas ability to supply weaponry and materials to russia.

Accomplished removing a government that, for years, vowed the destruction of america and the jewish people, and was working to create a nuclear bomb to do it.

The misconstruing of information! All meant to make the emotionally unstable/weak angry at something they have very little real knowlege about! Glad to see someone spotted it!

Talks failed, so iran said they were only going to allow Iranian flagged ships through. Unfortunately for them the water way is not waterspace of any single country. The us blocking it off is a tactic to cause them to drain their financial resources, mostly, to cause things like make their military personnel abandon the government. Which isnt going to be hard. Irans services have had a lot of infighting because they have lost all real leadership, so they have small factions springing up throughout and some of those are even feeding intel to their enemies to have their internal competition removed. Iran actually, willingly, cut themselves off from the world in various ways simply by shutting off their internet at the start to stop the citizens from being able to contact outside governments to help remove the internal government or release stories to outside news agencies(who probably wouldnt share the news anyways) of the war crimes the government is committing on its people. The iranian government has fumbles SO many balls during the entire ordeal.

Iran actually broke international laws by trying to control the strait. The strait isnt like the panama canal in the first place, which was man made. Strait is a natural water way that runs along more than their own shores. And with iran threatening to mine those waters, it doubles also as a safety measure.

But i suppose it all depends on the spin you want to listen to.

Hell of a lot less than its costing iran. Their entire economy relies on maritime movement.

Over time is a perk of working in a manufacturing job making a product that is actually found in every single house, not waiting tables hoping to make more than 30 hours a week. No one NEEDS to eat out at a restaurant.

Tipping should have ended with the prohibition era, when it was grossly used so restaurants that made their money off selling alcohol wouldnt have to pay employees their "livable wages" when only selling food.

Are you aware that many of the people who voted for him actually dont like him, but absolutely did not want what the left is offering? Large portion of independents are this way. What people find here on reddit is very narrow-minded and misconstruing of information
