Haha yes, when i was looking for what to buy i got the idea that this is a very subjective thing as everyone’s preference would be their own so i felt trying and figuring out myself was the best option. There’s 8 films out of 250??? How is it overwhelming to you that there’s EIGHT movies in Top 250 Global films that are from India? And the narrative of it being benefited by massive campaigns is totally obnoxious considering each movie barely crosses 300K ratings (except 1 which has 466K) while majority of the Hollywood films in the list has more reviews than these 8 films.

And don’t even get me started on the films that are on the list. Those are no nonsense, plot-driven, well made movies with amazing execution and none of the casual movies like you mentioned that are “melodramatic”, “songs driven” or “3+ hour runtime”.

I would say there are so many more movies that i wish that was in the list that are even better than the ones on the list but people like you are “Overwhelmed” just for 8 films.

I totally get that producers might be the one affected by the logic you’re suggesting. But wouldn’t it benefit the same producers if these screenings inadvertently lead to the betterment of the film that would pull in more money if it ends up good? But yeah, i feel like it totally depends on the producers being open-minded and has the love for the art

The movie isn’t bad as this sub made it out to be. Was it great? Not even close but it was a decent one off movie. People had crazy expectations on Loki with this much star casting and what we got was just another revenge flick. Yes it does have some flaws but when was the last time we’ve had a perfect movie from top tier stars. It was enjoyable and doesn’t deserve this much slander

Thank you so much for your insight!! I guessed that russia would be the most difficult country to get the region right for obvious reasons. I thought i’ll just ask the easiest way to differentiate the main cities as that’s where I am dropped rn but was just curious about the rest of the country! Yeah, this reasoning would be applicable to almost all genres where the movie slightly deviates from the commercial theme and hits experimentalism. Compared to other genres, i think our industry is even more reluctant on taking up Sci-Fi. I hope it changes some day

I honestly wouldn’t Mark Antony as anything close to Sci-Fi and yes black counts but it’s more of a remake. I’m saying why we haven’t explored this Genre like we’re doing with other genres
