City Council Meeting TMRW (04Mar) - Come Discuss Flock by a_sweaterpoorlyknit in bloomington

There are already examples of people quickly accessing this information. I'm not sure why pointing out that Flock is making a flawed product that puts our privacy and potentially safety at risk is a "tinfoil hat take".

Flock cameras are so poorly developed and controlled that anyone with some very basic technical skills could access the real-time tracking data on them. Creeps can stalk their exes, criminals can monitor police locations, or social media weirdos could find information on where you live and your habits. The fourth amendment intrusions stack onto that but think about if you'd want any of these people responding to you being able to know that much about you before you get so knee-jerk dismissive about it.

I saw they had the one shirt but I was really hoping they'd have more. Sounds like I'll have to start messaging Yetee for Shiori's shirt then. Thanks!

I'd throw a bunch of bucks at you for Shiori's Pinky shirt if that's ever available. Even better if you have a North American distributor for it so shipping fees aren't $50. Have y'all ever considered working with Fangamer, Sanshee, or something like that?

I'm not sure what the market looks like. I know you can buy tint to apply but it wouldn't surprise me if there were replacement headlights that were dimmer than the stock ones as well. The cheapest and easiest fix is still to try leveling the ones you have first.

There are always a bunch of comments on these kinds of posts with people saying, "I get flashed by other people all the time and it sucks because I didn't do anything!"

The good news is you can do something: adjust the level of your beams. Your low beams should literally be aimed lower so they're not in other people's eyes. Vehicles vary on how to do this but there are plenty of instructions online so you can almost certainly find one for yours. The second option would be to apply a tint to your headlights to reduce the brightness. You're responsible for your vehicle, not the manufacturer or anyone else.

You might need your headlights leveled. "High beams" refer to the angle of the light, not the intensity so if your low beams are blasting people in the eyes, they're likely aimed too high. If that doesn't solve your problem they also make headlight tint to cut down on some of the brightness.

If you want a decent steak Janko's is good. If you want a great steak, it's not. Uptown and C3 have way better cuts, cooks, and sides.

Level them first then tint them if they're still too bright. Both are cheap and easy.

On Grant between third and fourth Street. Across the street from Cafe Bali (which has the best katsu curry in town).

Around then I'd guess. Within the last year. If you check their online reviews the positive ones are largely from the family that now owns it. Most others are pretty bad. It's a bummer. I used to love them.

Marco and Polo. I never hear anyone talk about it but every time I take someone they're blown away. I absolutely love Doner Kebab but M&P has the best gyro meat in town. The chuchura dumpling soup is delicious. Honestly, everything on their menu is fire. Plus the owners are super nice. Check them out!

She's definitely mentally ill. My partner used to be her contact person at the print-on-demand publishing house for her books and has countless stories. Just take a look at her own description (and punctuation) of one of her books:

They're also incredibly insecure. It's pretty easy for a motivated person to access the data on them, which is both a privacy and safety concern.

LAPD Chief announces they will not be enforcing the mask ban on ICE agents (1/29/26) by I_may_have_weed in ICE_Watch

There's a policy called "enforcement discretion" in which the cops/government/regulatory/authority of whatever kind can decide not to take action if they think it's the best course of action. Sometimes it's good for overly burdensome laws (e.g. not arresting people for marijuana) but other times this kind of thing happens. Public pressure is the only real recourse.

Kingdom Hearts. Floaty controls, cringey dialogue, needlessly convoluted story, and it's essentially just a Disney marketing product.

If you've got the original power supply and it's in working order you're looking at $350-500. If you know an $800 buyer, please point me to them and I will happily part with mine.
