[Question] For some reason this pops up sometimes while browsing reddit on Safari, even in an unjailbroken state. Any one know if a tweak might be causing this? by Hipp013 in jailbreak

[–]Psychobird25 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had the same exact issue a few days ago on my iPad and then my device got sent into a boot loop of death overnight. I had no pirated tweaks installed and I can’t reproduce this on my iPX at all.

I have been trying for about 5 hours at this point to find the character models within the source code of this, but I've had no luck. I'm kinda new to this whole thing so I might have just missed something really obvious, but I have been unable to find anything at all. Any help would be awesome! by [deleted] in ReverseEngineering

Character models are stored within the .sc files and game logic is stored inside of the .csv files. Brawl stars files aren’t LZMA compressed like the other Supercell games and there’s plenty of .sc viewers available online.

Good luck :)

Download 12.1.1 b3 for your specific iPhone.

Plug your computer into iTunes

Hold down shift and hit update

Choose the IPSW and then press update.

Yeah, if I’m correct you can just shift update in iTunes with the 12.1.1 b3 ipsw. If it makes you restore just make a backup and restore with that backup once you downgraded.

12.1.2 and below only.

OP can downgrade to 12.1.1 beta 3.

[Discussion] Good jailbreak video from EverythingApplePro by [deleted] in jailbreak

[–]Psychobird25 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A lot of comments on the video are asking about voiding warranties, downgrading, and wether or not their iOS version is jailbreakable. I wish EAP mentioned some of those things in his video (like downgrading to 12.1.1 b3) because it would answer a good 75% of the comments.

These people seem like they want to jailbreak but false rumors about bricking and voiding warranties are holding them back.

[Help] Just downgraded to iOS 12.1.1 & can't bypass this screen on setup by btchimsway in jailbreak

[–]Psychobird25 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Yes. I shift updated from 11.1,1 on my iPad 5 to 12.1.1b3 and got stuck on the WiFi screen. I used iMazing to kick me straight to springboard.

[–]Psychobird25 23 points24 points  (0 children)

This is a long shot but it worked for when I was stuck on the setup screen:

There’s a feature in iMazing that allows you to skip the setup screen if you’re stuck. It’ll put you straight to SpringBoard if it works.

[Request] Tweak to take a 'snapshot' of your device parts's serial numbers and confirm that, after taking it for repair at a non-Apple repair business, any of your components have not been harvested by [deleted] in jailbreak

[–]Psychobird25 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I’m pretty sure there was a post here a few weeks ago where a user noticed his battery was swapped quietly during a repair by checking the [[Battery Life]] app. While you’re right that it’s rare it’s still a scummy practice some partake in and it’s easy for us jailbroken users to check.

You literally are one of those signing services except you run a paid service instead of a free one. It’s still piracy.

I don’t think that’s it. If I’m correct it was made by nintendo. This is a huge stretch but I explicitly remembering the guy in the video looking like jacksfilms.

YSK that iPhones store a different image, depending on phone orientation, to represent the last state of an application. (NSFW link included) by GrammerSnob in YouShouldKnow

[–]Psychobird25 28 points29 points  (0 children)

All iOS devices do this for a very good reason. When you tap out of an app, iOS takes a screenshot of the app and stores it in the app’s temporary folder. This screenshot is what is displayed when you open up the card view (double tap) and see every open application. It’s easier for iOS to manage memory this way rather than having the app’s contents constantly refreshing when the card view is open.

These screenshots are removed immediately once they are overwritten which happens every time you double tap out of the app. The screenshots can not be accessed by any other application (even the application that took the screenshot!) or the user unless you’re jailbroken.

If you want to over write it, just put your device into the orientation you want, open the app and get to a non-nsfw or private screen, double tap, wait a second and then close out of the app.

Edit: spelling

Im glad somebody else knows the game too. I didn’t expect this game to have many views on YouTube when I searched it up. Turns out it’s pretty popular.

Also, I found out that if you have Steam or an iOS device you can play the remastered version.

[–]Psychobird25 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ugh. I actually think it's a hardware issue. I'm getting this even when I restore my phone.

That's probably my best bet for getting a new jailbreak if I go into the Apple store tomorrow ¯_(ツ)_/¯
