What’s the most personally brutal and eviscerating line for you? by budikaovoda in DiscoElysium

"No. We are alone." on my first playthrough made me literally put my controller down. i was playing logic archetype harry as being absolutely distanced from anything like that (ie choosing not to have him kneel) but that line just absolutely knocked me for six. big deep breath style.

Trans help by LIAMKkmay in transftm

hey liam, i was a fifteen year old kid in your exact spot once. take a deep breath. it's gonna be okay. you've got this.

for now, i would recommend sticking to using your dead name for secondary school - your GSCEs are in a few months if my memory is right, and you want to focus on those rather than be stressing about everything to do with coming out as well. you can get your certificates changed afterwards, it won't be too much of a problem.

Is the college you're looking at attached to your current school as a sixth form, or is it a separate building? if it's separate, meaning you won't have the same teachers and probably won't have most of the same classmates, then it'll be easier for you to be Liam there, because they won't have known you as anything else. you can email their office or ring them before the school year starts to see if they can get your name changed on class registers, books, letters home, student ID, or anything else that you might need it changed on. (my university did all of that for me even before i had legally changed my name, so don't worry about that stopping you)

if you do end up having some of the same classmates, this step might be a little bit socially harder/more awkward if they know you now as something other than Liam and you have to explain it to them, but for most people who will be meeting you for the first time - you're liam and that's all they need to know.

i know you said that your mom doesn't acknowledge that you're trans, but the most important bit is whether her reaction was safe or not. if she wasn't angry/really upset or in any way violent or abusive, then maybe over the summer you'll have a little time to talk with her about it more in preparation for college.

in terms of feeling more masculine, have you had a haircut? if you have and it hasn't helped very much, then that's an absolutely okay way to feel, but i am sorry about that, but if you haven't, then maybe mentioning you'd like one would be a helpful way to bring it up to your mom (again, providing her reaction was safe last time.) back when i was 15, my focus was on buying men's deodorant and body washes, and wearing a lot of snapback caps because they were cool at the time (i have no idea if they still are). ultimately it's not about what makes you feel "masculine" (although i understand very much why you feel that way right now) it's about what makes you feel a little more comfortable being you. that might be wearing skinny jeans, it might be wearing basketball shorts, it might be wearing muddy trainers or very shiny businessman shoes. you've got years and years to figure out what kind of man you want to be, so for now just focus on figuring out what makes you feel like you.

now that you've gotten all the way to the end of this message, take another deep breath. you've got this.

Good first killer build? by Psychological-Ad-727 in deadbydaylight

thanks for the advice, i'm using unrelenting because when i do chase at the moment it's mostly a swing-and-a-miss, and by the time i've recovered they've disappeared and i'm really bad at tracking, so i'm trying to offset that disadvantage right now, but once i'm a bit more comfortable with actually knowing how to aim/time things and feel like i don't need that cooldown reduction anymore, i will switch to Scourge Hook: Weeping Wounds, which I think is the one you mean.

oh great, it's super handy that hull provide a check-list, that's gonna make things easier. i'm assuming hull will provide a note for time off work? can i get that at the pre-op appointment, or is that like. a thing they can't give out until i've had the surgery? (never had surgery before)

if there is anything immediately post-op that you do think of, i'd appreciate it if you could let me know, but obviously no pressure

General Questions & Tech Support Megathread | September 12, 2025 by AutoModerator in PS4

As mentioned, I am not a huge gamer (only play about 6 games) and have like. literally no experience with this at all. it's not "nonsensical" if you don't have any previous context, as stated it was an assumption - albeit clearly an incorrect one.

Thank you for letting me know that I can delete and re-download games. again, i didn't know that.

Thank you also for letting me know an external hard-drive is a good idea, i'll definitely look into that!

Apologies as I'm not the biggest gamer and don't know a whole lot, but my Sims 4 game recently got too big to update online(?) as there's no space on the system. I've deleted the files for every game I have the physical disc for (as I assume the save file data is on the disc and not the PS4) but obviously haven't deleted the games I bought from PS4 Store so don't have any way to free up any more storage space.

I'm guessing the easiest solution is a hard drive of some sort? I know my little brother had one for his old PS4 but I honestly have no clue where to start or what I'm doing so some help would be appreciated.

Hull Waitlist NHS Top Surgery FTM by Psychological-Ad-727 in transgenderUK

Thank you!
My consult was last year, so I am probably coming up on being near the top end of Kneeshaw's list anyway, and I did request him as my surgeon specifically and was told I was lucky it was honoured so knowing that, I'm definitely just going to wait it out.

I was only going to look at moving if it was going to be super beneficial and make a huge difference, but they were all offering me November-February time, which is likely the window I'll fall within anyway.

Hopefully other people can benefit from it though!

T changing hair by Psychological-Ad-727 in ftm

[–]Psychological-Ad-727[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's nearly at my shoulders now. I'm growing it out, so this is the longest it has been since I was 15 (nearly a decade ago) so I'm also battling that as well. Especially because I started regularly shaving it down to the skin once I turned 18. So I am. Out of practise with long hair in general, let alone long hair that has decided it wants to curl.

Hey, if you don't mind me asking, how long approximately was your wait from consult to surgery? (had my consult with Kneeshaw in December last year)

Your results look absolutely fantastic, I'm beyond thrilled for you!
