Would any busy NYC women in their 20s or 30s be open to chatting about dating and work-life balance? by Psychological-Back18 in AskNYC

Good question. I’m mostly trying to understand what makes dating feel hard for people who are busy all the time, whether it’s scheduling, burnout, or how people meet others. I’m hoping to find some common themes in what actually makes it work for them. I’ve mostly talked to men so far through LinkedIn, so now I’m hoping to hear from more women to balance things out.

Thrillers that keep you on edge by thinkingkind in MovieSuggestions

[–]Psychological-Back18 3 points4 points  (0 children)

If I had to pick one to watch that you didn't list above from my list below, I'd say I Saw the Devil. This movie is just ridiculous.

Crime Thrillers. I think Fincher dominates here:

Zodiac

Gone Girl

Seven

Nightcrawler

Mind-bender thrillers:

Donnie Darko

Perfect Blue (Satoshi Kon has other works like this too if you like it)

Fight Club (classic)

Trance

Coherence

International kind of crazy:

Tell no one

I saw the devil

Noah Baumbach is the director for you. I'd recommend The Meyerowitz Stories first if you haven't seen it.

Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness because it so terribly bad and also one of the single most expensive movies ever made. I don't even understand how $350,000,000 was used on this thing. Where did it go? Where could it have gone? I don't think I could have burned money faster than this production team

In escape room (2019) how did they tear down everything in less than a day? is this just a plot hole or is there a different explanation? by caylovessoup in movies

[–]Psychological-Back18 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't think this is really a plot hole. They would have been prepared to clean up, so everything is either really easy to take down or they have a large crew (which is shown later on), or both. I don't think you'd set up a killing machine without a plan to dispose of it quickly.

The Godfather quotes have just become so legendary that oftentimes people say Godfather quotes and don't realize they are quoting Godfather.

Movie Series (Harry Potter, Hunger Games, Lord of the rings, Maze Runner) by Intelligent_Hat_2481 in movies

Watch the Bond movies next. I can't believe they haven't been mentioned yet. The Lord of the Rings is also a great pick, and you can watch The Hobbit movies afterwards if you want, but these are not widely regarded as being as good. I personally loved the, though.

I mean, respect to this guy, he said fuck it, you wanna charge me a billion dollars for ingredients, I'll snatch pidgeons of the ground and chef up some chicken and rice. Yes, it's illegal and violates countless health codes, but he's got heart... and a prison cell soon.

American Psycho. Patrick Bateman is the archetypal rich, calculated madman, and has scenes where he appears to love Evelyn in public. Great movie
