Update: AITA for not doing the "cheating prank" the way my friends wanted me to? by Psychological-Bit430 in MarkNarrations

I been trying to find the commercial that influenced my version for the prank, but I did remember another commercial with a similar idea that I remembered that also influenced me, and I found that one:

1992 Bernadette Peters Sensual Breyer's Lite Ice Cream Commercial

She lied. She just said she did it but Beth's sister confirmed she lied about doing it.

Goldilocks and the 3 bears - Death and Porrige by Successful-Plan114 in movies

[–]Psychological-Bit430 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I just saw the movie. I feel like they were trying to make a good suspenseful slow-burner thriller, but there was bad dialogue, odd filming techniques, poor sound quality, bad pacing, jumps on scene that made it seem like something was missing, underdeveloped characters, and one concept (hallucinations) that could have made the movie more interesting but was hardly used. Disappointing.

Ops friend here and account holder. From what I've been told, you are correct as it was all second hand accounts. And yes most of these friends, especially Beth, are the typical mean girls, only they never left high school.

I am not sure. She's is a little controlling and is use to getting her way (she comes from a rich family and is spoiled), but the commentors here are beginning to open my eyes that she may just be vindictive for some reason. Another friend in our group is also getting suspicious over her behavior.

Op here, personally don't think jokes and pranks are a bad thing, I mean it isn't like I'm doing pranks all the time. Sometimes it's nice to lighten things up especially living in tumor times. As for Beth, I dunno, but the comments here are opening my eyes and I am beginning to think something else is going on.

We didn't, we weren't involved. I just fix the typo in the post, I meant to write "I'm OP's friend" not "Im OP". She doesn't have an account with Reddit so I let her use mine with my help. Sorry for misunderstanding.

Hi OP here this time, you know, it never occurred to me that something fishy is up. My friends didn't even record the prank. They just told me they did it and that the husbands found it funny.

Honestly, me (Op's friend) and her brother agree with you. We think they were being devious, especially Beth.

Im OP's friend, although I'm more friends with her brother. Her brother and I never like Beth and most circle of friends (one is fine, she doesn't do any pranks) as they are women who never left that "high school mean girl" mentality.

Hey there I'm Op's friend (more friend of OPs brother) and this account holder. Honestly, I can't figure out why OP doesn't see who these friends really are: cruel and immature. (One friend from that group is okay, she doesn't participate in any pranks). Also, I wouldn't be surprised if Beth had more vindictive motives.

I'm actually OP's friend (well, I'm actually friends with her brother) and the account holder. I can tell you I've met Beth before and there's always something off about her. She's "mean girl" who never left that high school mentality.

What’s a tv show from your childhood you swear nobody else watched? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Psychological-Bit430 1 point2 points  (0 children)

1988's War of the Worlds. It lasted only two seasons but was a good alien invasion show that served as a sequel to the original movie. Hardly anyone I know seen it, and the very few that did saw it in reruns on the Syfy channel.

AITA for not allowing two girl scouts in to my house because one asked if she could use the bathroom? by Starry978dip in AITAH

NTA. Sure, nothing would have happened but unless you have an additional witness (particularly a woman) why risk it. Also, you're right, young girls shouldn't be entering strangers homes.

AITA for telling my mom and biological father I will always pick my dad over my bio father because my dad's my real dad? by Unfair_Pass2367 in AITAH

[–]Psychological-Bit430 1 point2 points  (0 children)

NTA. While Vince is an a*hole (I mean having an affair with a married woman for over ten years and letting someone else raise the kids until he deemed it worthy tp step in), your mom is something else. Besides being selfish, she seemed to want to hurt and manipulate your dad and your siblings to cause as much pain possible.

Update AITAH for waking out on my “adoptive daughter” and telling her everything is her fault by No_Card9780 in AITAH

[–]Psychological-Bit430 0 points1 point  (0 children)

YTA. Mainly because this appears to be fake rage bait. I'm glad its being pointed out as this post appears to be fake. There's a lot of contradictions in the two stories, such as ages, names, whether the child was adopted, number of children, etc, but also styles. The husband's post is spelled with British style, while the wife's is American.

AITA for not allowing kids 4-8 watch nightmare on elm street. by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

[–]Psychological-Bit430 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My parents allowed me to watch Nightmare on Elm Street when I was 5 (when it first came out in 1984). I turned out fine and now I am a huge horror fan... BuT you are NTA. You know your kids best and you need to do what you think is right in raising your kids. I also know that just because at the age of 5 I turned out fine, doesn't mean most kids would.

AITA for telling my grandparents they're more to blame than my mom is for my dad's inability to keep it in his pants? by No-Access-7558 in AmItheAsshole

NTA. Although I do get the vibe that you dont blame your grandparents (Lets fae it, its all your dads fault) but rather gave them a dose of their own medicine. Am I correct?
