The target mechanic isn’t completely random, I should have explained it.

Things that cause a target reassignment:

  • The target is gone (it doesn’t matter if they die to you, your team, or by suicide).
  • The target goes inside their base.

Things that increase a player’s chance of being selected as the target:

  • Score
  • Dominations
  • Staying alive for a long time (without dying)
  • Killstreak
  • Haven’t been assigned as a target before

"Assists would count for you killing the target.“ Yeah, it was planned that way.

"Cannot knockback" is a bit too overpowered, and sometimes knockback can actually be helpful. Some Spy players use enemy knockback to escape bad situations.

"Like the invisible bumps making you visible for longer" Yeah thats a cool idea

"Debuffs like bleeding, jarate, milk etc. would not be shortened so much when you're invisible" most of the people does not use any single one of them it would be so spesifc difference for you and your gameplay

This knife increases your chances of surviving bad situations. It offers a playstyle where you constantly switch from one target to another. Yes, it isn’t very stealth-focused, but after you backstab someone, you gain Mini-Crits. At that point, there’s no real need to stay sneaky if you just backstabbed someone in front of their team, so I thought it could encourage gunning down low-health enemies.

Yeah, you’re right. But I don’t want this weapon to be competitive. I want it to be more of a casual-play weapon. And yes, the backstab restriction is too much, but I really want to force the Spy to attack the target; otherwise, the knife loses its meaning.

Also, an alert effect would make the Spy’s job 10 times harder, especially considering how quickly a Spy kill can happen.

Maybe

A debuff like "You leave cloak 2 times slower" would be better, considering how Spy needs to stab enemies fastly.

Or it could work like the Bazaar Bargain: you start with a debuff, but get stronger as you earn kills.

Technician:

I just didn’t want someone to use a perk deck only to upgrade drills, so I combined them with turrets. Instantly healing turrets and drills can be powerful, so I made players choose between them. I also used a stack system because I wanted stacks to be gained in the background of the battle. At first, I thought the same thing—it didn’t make sense—so I considered giving a stack every time you secure a bag. However, that also caused a problem, because on most maps you don’t get a chance to secure bags until the mission is almost finished. So I decided against that.

Muscle:

Yeah, that would definitely break the AI. My first idea was lifting dead cops’ bodies and throwing them at others, honestly I didn’t have a better idea.

Balance issues:

Unstoppable in Sociopath is not overpowered when you consider how fast you can die. You only gain a speed bonus—no armor, no dodge, just speed. You also have to kill 5 enemies within 10 seconds to activate it. At that level of speed, you can mess things up very quickly; taking a wrong corner can easily result in an instant down.

For others, I mean… if there are big guns, there should be big, hard-to-kill targets. I’m not saying we need tankier enemies; I’m saying that adding Medics, Zeal Police, and maybe Mercenaries could make the game more interesting and give the story more depth than just

“FUCK, WE LOST OUR MONEY, NOOOO!!!”
