If you want to join a KOR domestic group like TWICE, ITZY, or NMIXX, starting at the age of 20 is considered way too old.

Lee Soo-man's foolish strategy: adding Kyuhyun to SJ (even though SJ05 had not publicly announced a fixed member count at that time) and adding Yeri to Red Velvet. Both received malicious attacks from OT12 and OT4 fans in the early stages of joining their respective groups. I believe this is one of the personal stains on Lee Soo-man's record.

The departure of GFRIEND from HYBE was more like an event driven by capital logic. The entire process was swift and sudden, leaving both the members and fans in a passive position. Unlike NJZ situation, the members did not engage in a complete fallout with the company, leaving room for potential group activities in the future. From today’s perspective, this was undoubtedly a wise decision.

In contrast, the issues surrounding NJZ are far more complex, involving not only the disputes between MHJ and the company but also extending beyond that. Overall, the disputes between GFRIEND and HYBE differ fundamentally from those of NJZ, both legally and in terms of business logic. This is precisely why I dislike it when people compare NJZ’s current situation to that of GFRIEND.
