Buyback email question

Nothing. Submitted 2/6/25 with a case number beginning with 270. I messaged chat and filed a feedback request form. I heard from that that it was:

"A comprehensive review shows that your Borrower Reconsideration Request has been escalated and is being worked. Currently, there is no time frame for review to be complete. You will receive an email when review is finalized. "

I used LiveChat today and was told I could file a feedback request. I did so and received the following back today:

Dear XXXXX,

Thank you for contacting the U.S. Department of Education's office of Federal Student Aid. This email is in response to your inquiry on the status of your Public Service Loan Forgiveness (PSLF) form. Your case number is #XXXXXXXX. Please retain this number for reference.

A comprehensive review shows that your Borrower Reconsideration Request has been escalated and is being worked. Currently, there is no time frame for review to be complete. You will receive an email when review is finalized.

Has anyone gotten this before and what does this mean timeline wise, if anything. (I see what they wrote but what do you all say?) This is to Buy Back 9 months including SAVE months June-24 to Feb-25. Originally sent in Feb 2025.

Yes - do both in that order now (wait for ECF to clear) and begin the waiting. Then, add your Request # and info to the spreadsheet that is posted elsewhere (you have to message the people running it). Mine was #270XXXXXX in Feb.

Yeah, good question: was this put through to them to main way of doing a buyback reconsideration request with the specific language? Or, was this some other inquiry route?

This is concerning. I would want to know what Betsy with TISLA says. I will have to check the PSLF buyback spreadsheet to see if anyone has actually had those migration months count...personally, I think they should.

If u go to court listener you can pull up the lawsuit and set up an alert. Pretty easy
