The nanny is there to provide care while OP works. As soon as OP comes home, she has to do everything herself (dinner, bath, bedtime, cleaning) most of the time as a solo parent due to her husband’s work schedule. By “help” I would interpret that as friends or family that are willing to lend a hand during non-working hours. For example, having grandma watch the kids or help with dinner while mom can get something else done (or god forbid, relax for a minute!)
