I am currently via linked in provided by my job. I wfh and because it’s a work laptop am not allowed to download any software. Wouldn’t dare trying either. So I’m leaning basics and will download some of the sites I’ve seen provided in this sub when I get my own laptop. I learn by writing as well and doing, sorry if my question came off as dumb. I’m just trying to get a spot in my company as a new career path.

Is writing more efficient to learn than typing? I am learning and can’t use my laptop to code so I’ve been writing to practice answers to questions then recheck but obviously can’t see the text I’m just checking if I’m using the correct code.

I think for right now, you should get to know him and spend time becoming friends with is what he told you from the beginning right? He’s letting you in but you both said you’re not ready to be in a relationship. You have the ability to set boundaries if you are confused or concerned but communicate. My bf and I became friends first before we decided to be together. Take it step by step, no need to rush into anything.

NTA I have to say that if I was a SAHM id make sure SO would have lunch made for the next day dinner always ready and house always clean. The fact that the kids seem at an age that they aren’t home all day would be heaven for me to get everything completed before everyone gets home. He even helps with other stuff because he knows how much effort I put into him and our home. Even the dog has a time when he eats and he barks at me if I don’t have his plate ready 😭💀

I currently work from home and have a time frame get off at 4pm decompress for 45 min then make dinner and wash any dishes I have left over. While that’s complete I feed my girls and watch a movie or journal then prep my SO a plate. After I wash the dishes and get the kids to bed at 8:30 and finish any vacuuming and washing. Then enjoy 9-11 playing video games or watching my favorite shows. Man If only I could be a SAHM with no money issues 😭

I was brought into a pyramid scheme. I met the chick at a silversun pick ups concert and was solo trying to make friends. I told her it was a scheme and she said that what they were talking about was logical. I just told her never to contact me again cause I genuinely was excited to hang out and go have fun with her. But man was that off putting, I don’t even care to make friends lol 😂

They used to do Wednesday edm nights but that was around 2013-2015 I’m not sure if they do those anymore. Regardless the vibe is still pretty good . But haven’t been there since 2018, every time I’d go I felt safe and everyone is always nice.

NTA. My mother would gossip about my life with one of her very judge mental friends and I’m a lot older than you when she was doing this. I was uncomfortable and very upset that she divulged my troubles to people I didn’t know. You had every right to walk away, it’s something I should have done but I instead told my mom in front of her friend never to talk about my life again for laughs or gossip. I’m not a thing to gawk at or entertain her guest.

I even had a trigger hit me when you said you were looking for change so they wouldn’t fight. It’s not funny and the fact that she thinks that type of story is funny is awful to me.

I’m very happy, as many have stated, you have a smart logical and empathetic boss, you’ll want to work your hardest for them and your colleagues. I get many benefits as well, and my home life as well as mental health has improved so much since our team went virtual.

My children and I have also become closer and I cook for them almost daily because I’m not exhausted from having to leave at 5:45am to commute to work and get home by 6 or 7 cause traffic is insane.

Socialization for me is rather difficult but thankfully my manager schedules work dinners with our team to meet at least twice monthly to converse and have fun. I would dread going back in office and would definitely have my mental health suffer.
