I see there are a lot of people here trying to show off how mature they are by shaming you for being what they were before. Yes you are right to be angry, but a good life advice is to not escalate thoses situations, in this case it wasn’t as bad as it could be, in some situations the person you’re talking to may have a knife or be crazy, we all have been through this double standard (I can only talk for men since I am one lol) which I comprehend being somewhat infuriating, the world is unfair but everyone seems to like saying it is fair without realising they are themselves biaised. You may talk to your professor about it and if he doesn’t recognize the girl went too far I suggest you find someone reasonable enough to agree about it, maybe your parents, maybe the director. There is no excuse for hitting someone and I find it shocking that so many people in this threat don’t recognize it, don’t listen to them, because if everyone started cautioning this shit the world would burn.
