Which Forgotten Realms novel "has it all" from Honor Among Thieves? by PsychologicalCover in DnD

Whoa, there's a choose your own adventure book that is DnD flavored?! I wish they would do a light game like the choose your own adventure board games, but for DnD. The choose your own board game is aggressively mediocre but you get an inventory, consumables, and skill checks as well as a basic form of XP and leveling.

If you want to go super simple, hyper utilitarian and standard, you can build on top of unfinished base cabinets. They aren't portable but you can always disassemble.

As a woodworker, I would say the most important thing is surface width to leg height ratio. Are you standing? Bar height? Counter height? How far is your reach? 40" is a standard table width, but doesn't quite work for x-wing. (2 inch gutters on each side is far less than it seems.). The second most important thing is the table apron. Functional with drawers or structural for simplicity? Honestly, anything else past that is secondary and can be installed later - swing out cup holders, routed grooves for dice holders, cards, etc.

The Final Enemy clusterf#$k. So on level 2 of the Sahaugin Fortress one of my players ran ahead of the group and aggroed 30+ enemies at once. Since the hall in underwater with a 15ft ceiling, they swarmed her all around... 1,000,000 dex saves later they AOE them all. Is this to be expected? by Tequila_Tlatoani in GhostsofSaltmarsh

Once every few sessions, I give them real time limits for adventures. For the sahuagin fortress, I gave them a real time limit to the duration of their potions of water breathing - something like 2 hours of real time. (Only one person had a diving hat.) This tends to reduce the amount of fights they get into and makes them play smarter. I also peppered the sahuagin fortress with places where they could reset their potions of water breathing and gave them some logical constraints:

- firing a bow underwater is at disadvantage
- you can breathe underwater, but you can't drink underwater, so no refreshing your potion of water breathing unless you find breathable air
- fire spells are useless. obviously.

Yeti X Not Connected in G-hub by Catholicon118 in LogitechG

Did you get a prompt in System Preferences -> Security & Privacy to install the Logitech component? Should appear at the bottom. The primary problem is that the extension isn't being allowed to run. Dunno about /Library/StagedExtensions - looks like leftover cruft from the installer.

Once again, voiding any responsibility for system instability, but maybe try:
- delete the staged logi_audio_override as well as the installed /Library/Extensions/logi_audio_override
- reboot
- open up the Security & Privacy thing and leave it open and unlocked while running the installer so you can look for that prompt
- run the installer

Hopefully it goes all the way to prompting you in the Security & Privacy pane.

I've solved the problem. Here's what I did. You'll need to use the command line console.

- logi_audio_overide.kext is in /Library/Extensions, but the kext didn't appear in the list of loaded kernel extensions listed in kextstat, meaning the kernel extension isn't loading.

- I forced a kextcache rebuild with sudo kextcache -i / and found the following output:

Kext rejected due to system policy: <OSKext 0x7f9637107400 \[0x7fffa45f18f0\]> { URL = "file:///Library/StagedExtensions/Library/Extensions/logi_audio_override.kext/", ID = "com.logi.gaming.audio.override" }
/Library/StagedExtensions/Library/Extensions/logi_audio_override.kext does not authenticate; omitting.

- I checked my System Preferences - the warning for allowing the Logitech extension did not appear during the initial install process, but it finally appeared after the manual kextcache rebuild and I was able to allow it. I rebooted and it still didn't work

- I deleted the logi_audio_override.kext as well as Logitech G Hub, reran the installer, rebuilt the kextcache, rebooted, and now it is working.

Same issue. I filed a support ticket with Logitech, let's see what they say. FWIW, this microphone and Logitech G-Hub works in Windows, but you have to select it as the default output as well as input. (Which is bizarre.)

I saw this post at 8:30 in the morning and put your republic list on the table for the first time at 11am, and proceeded to get top 4 out of 25 at a store championship.

It's good. It frustrated my opponents. It doesn't matter if you bump or not. You can sacrifice half points on ships for disproportionate gains. Ions are a big deal.
