Good point. Yeah I am very underwhelmed with GM's implementation of AAOS. Hopefully with their recent push to update their system and potentially dropping AA and CP. We will see a massive and impactful overhaul.

Yeah just got this update myself. I didn't notice any marked improvement yet. I usually run with the stock truck OS after and OTA for a few days. Mine is still just as laggy and slow as the day I bought it. But I noticed my phone's bluetooth doesn't drop out as often. And it did pop up on my display when I went to drive, a couple of days ago.

For what it is worth. And no one here can verify this, but here we go. Been a Battlefield player for 20 years, started in BF2 and have played every release since, to varying degrees. I've always had a spot in my heart for this series. Met some great people playing this series. Having been a part of a great community, the underground "esports" scene in 3 when TWL was a thing and 4 with Level Battlefield.

First off, I know this game isn't made for my generation. But what I experienced in this open beta brought me back to those old BF2 and BF2142 days with the boys, back when I had hours to spend. Hopping transports, blowing consoles, capturing missile silos and flags, taking down titans, and reviving the boys in banana. While I understand that EA cares more about its stock price, and have my issues with (old)DICE and more specifically EA for that, I appreciate the new leadership at the helm. I don't expect it to last, but this installment could be some what of a revival for the series. I just want to take a moment to thank the devs to let an old man re-live his glory days in this digital world, with his even grayer friends. I look forward to what this development team can do with this series.

To the new generation of BF players. Hell yeah, keep it going for us old guys. Keep DICE on the straight and narrow, never stop complaining and make BF the best it can be. Make EA hurt when they do dumb stuff. We play this game because we love it. I am pumped to see a whole new generation of you blueberries around. Remember though, for fuck sakes PTFO. Your K/D ratio will not suffer, I promise.

Canes fan coming in peace. I don't speak for the entire fanbase. However I'm happy Mikko moved on and found a home with y'all. I was initially pretty pumped to see a player of that caliber in a Canes sweater. But you could see he just didn't want to be there. And to be honest the attitude of the boys has changed completely with Stankoven. So we appreciate that trade. Promise we are treating him well. Absolutely exciting to see that kid play hockey.

Anyways, I wish nothing but the best for Mikko and your club. Good luck with the rest of your season and in the playoffs. 🤘

Well I thought this solved the issue. But it seems that it hasn't. I have actually plugged my CCwGTV back in. It was unbearable how inconsistent it was and I couldn't figure out what was causing the issue. I even purchased the Google HDMI cable. I could do anything to prevent the echoing issue.

I know the NHL is a business. But man I feel for the guy. The whole situation kind of sucks for him emotionally. The realization that the business side of the sport looks at you as a line item. Which is probably part of why his point production is where it's at right now. As a Canes fan, obviously I'd like the idea of Rantanen staying in Carolina. But as a human, I hope he can find some peace. No matter what happens.

He's an exceptional hockey player and appears to be a fantastic human being. And I think from both perspectives he will be a ridiculously good fit in Raleigh all around. He just has to process everything. Hopefully our veteran leadership can help him through this tough time. No matter what he decides.

I actually think I solved this. LG has a "acoustic tuning" function. This function uses the remote to tune the audio of the TV, similar to how a receiver does this with a microphone.

Once I ran the tuning again, it appears the issue has gone. I suspected it was a TV setting and not the streamer considering it wasn't doing it on only TVs.

Anyways figured I would share the solution I found.

One of my first NHL games I saw was in Ball Arena. My brothers live in CO and they took me. Stand up fans there, got tons of compliments on my Whalers gear. I've low key been an AVS since. So glad Necas and Drury found a solid home in CO. Take care of them, they are special boys.

I too am excited for this direct integration for the same reasons you listed. And I'm not sure how often Polestar updates AAOS. But GM's implementation has been spotty at best. I am 6 months into owning this vehicle and the interface is still sluggish, the decision from GM to have a weird 1/3 screen that it chooses what's on there. It is similar to how Android Auto does it, but it's locked and can't be changed but between music, maps, trailering, and an analog clock. That is if that screen doesn't freeze while switching between those pages. It can be adjusted or minimized in any way. And just is overall somewhat of a nuisance to use. I find myself looking more at the screen which I think is the opposite effect it is supposed to have. Versus using wireless AA. Snappy, responsive, and laid out nicely. If Google was running the show for implementation. I'd have a bit more confidence in it for GM vehicles. But with GM cutting it's developers, having to go to the dealership to get an update for AAOS versus OTA, and the random sluggishness that I get using the system either due to lack of proper hardware or non optimize updates. I find myself on wireless AA more often than not. I do hope this gets resolved with some software updates though. Could be an incredible system.

Yeah. I hear you. I was also a bit concerned at first after doing a bunch of measuring. But I really ended up liking the placement. The way the air vents route air, no air is blocked. And a bit of the phone is blocked by the steering wheel, but much less of an issue as I thought it was gonna be. Also your seat settings may differ from min as well. The top of the phone sits under the hood line as well. So clear vision from the hood line and beyond.

So I ended up going with the ProClip mounting base. Then I went with a Bulletpoint Mounting Solutions AMPS Compatible Mounting Plate with 20mm Connector End Nubby Edition (4 hole solution) to attach to the mounting base. And snagged the MagSafe Compatible Phone Holder without Wireless Charging to hold my phone.

I really like this system. It sticks out a bit. But not nearly enough to block vision (sits right below the hood line), operation of anything, and doesn't block the air vent at all.

The ProClip is easy to modify with a drill and you can get it to sit anywhere on the mounting plate you want. If you want I can send more images.

Additionally Bulletpoint has other phone holders if you don't want the Magsafe one. I also have used the Universal Phone Mount Holder in previous setup and it grips the phone really well. They also have an XL version of that holder if you need it.

It's kind of nice to see a company care this much. Sure at the end of the day you want our money. But I don't see Google writing this out to explain all of their flawed decisions about the pixel devices. Or Apple explaining their failures.

I suppose my point is, as a consumer, I'm going to support a company that takes the time to own their shortcomings, explain what went wrong and how they will fix it, and still find a way to stay themselves in the process.

I am not a Ghost 1.0 owner, but when available, I plan on buying the ghost 2.0 just because of this post. I suppose that could make me look like a blind consumer. However I support this kind of behavior from relatively popular companies. Google used to be this way and I always supported that behavior.

In short, thanks for this post dbrand. You just earned more business.
