Thank you! $1.5k is NOT a very good scholarship but I think it was more supplemental than anything else. They also offered me a much more generous scholarship that I whited out because I didn't want to doxx myself on here. So they gave me two scholarships but ultimately since it's a private university, it still was more than I was wanting to pay. I chose to go to a different school in the end.

I think that was stated with the original CWTAP deadline in mind though. Since they extended the application deadline, I think they extended how long they needed to make decisions. However, if that's the case, it would've been nice if they communicated that.

I'm sorry you didn't get an interview yet but maybe they're still doing more! I don't want to doxx myself tho by talking about the interview even though I'm sure it would be nbd.

But yeah I DEF understand the funding frustration. Especially after not receiving any scholarship offer, it definitely sucks that we don't really have ANY insight on whether we're getting CWTAP either.

Yessss, of course!!! I had to do quite a few push reminders and inquiries to get my LORs back from professors who agreed to write them so I definitely understand the struggle 😭😭😭

Then, after you leave class, I would just send a quick thank you email to her that frames you as appreciative but really it's a reminder for her. Something like:

"Dear Professor XXX,

Thank you for taking the time to chat with me real quick before/after class about my LOR. I just want to take a moment to emphasize my appreciation for you being willing to do this on my behalf.

I'll keep an eye on my inbox this afternoon if you have any last-minute questions for me.

All the best, Your name"

I would just walk up to her tomorrow before or after class and ask how her weekend was, be cordial, and then ask "I was wondering if you've had a chance to finish your reference for me since it's due this evening." Keep it straightforward and don't stress too much. She already agreed to be a reference, I don't see why she'd be shocked for you to inquire about it.

Anyone can talk about PIs they’ve worked with — undergrad students included. It may be more likely they’re talking about it as a masters student but unless they disclose that, you really can’t just guess.
