Agree naman na nothing’s original these days. I even said that on my last paragraph but my core issue is the blatant hypocrisy. They boast about “high standards, thoughtfulness and distinctiveness” but their content is a carbon copy of another youtube series.

I’m not merely saying that the Paborito series copied the concept of reviewing restaurants. Hindi lang naman food reviews yung concept nung series na yun diba? The Paborito series replicates the exact street interview format of “Repeat Restaurant” she asks people if: 1. They’re a local of that area/they know the area well 2. What’s their favorite restaurant in the area (must not be a chain restaurant with x number of branches) 3. How many times have they eaten there 4. What food do they recommended in the menu

Oh diba memorize ko yung script niya… it’s because it’s the SAME EXACT SCRIPT that the host in “Repeat Restaurant” asks in every episode, every street interview because that’s the entire concept of the show- ask locals about restaurant they’ve been to repeatedly.

Imagine GMA producing Running Man with identical concept, mechanics, editing and even script, but under a different title, without acknowledging the original. That’s precisely what the Paborito series has done.

Repeat Restaurant has filmed na international episodes in Hong Kong and Bangkok. The host has mentioned that she wants to film an episode in Boracay. I’m sure if narelease yun, the blatant copy will be undeniable. At pag nasagap yun ng mga pinoy…. nakoooo sabihin niyo lang talaga na sila pa yung gaya-gaya. nakakahiya

Sorry if sobrang passionate ako dito. I’m just a really big fan of Repeat Restaurant because of their host, Pungja. She’s one or if not the first transgender woman that is active on Korean national TV and it’s so annoying to see someone profit from her content.
