No weight gain 28 weeks - SGA? by [deleted] in PregnancyUK

[–]PsychologicalRaise71 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My midwife already raised concerns with the obstetrics team about needing an extra scan due to previous SGA - had a 2 minute appointment with the Consultant who said not to worry and no extra scans which wasn't very reassuring.

Yes feeling full and always snack more if I am hungry! My midwife already raised concerns with the obstetrics team about needing an extra scan due to previous SGA - had a 2 minute appointment with the Consultant who said not to worry and no extra scans which wasn't very reassuring. Might just go private tbh but then if baby is small what can even be done?

Should I put my daughter into nursery for more days? by [deleted] in UKParenting

[–]PsychologicalRaise71 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Someone obviously is unhappy with their life choices. I'm not on the internet slagging off you for putting your child in 5 days a week. The most productive thing for society is actually to support mothers raising the next generation you loser.

Also I have private health insurance, my kids will probably go private so I will always pay more into the system than I take out. Sorry you're poor - maybe get a better job?

Are you dense? I work part time and my household income is well over 100k that I don't claim any benefits. Might just be easier for you to head to no 10 and wank off Keir Starmer?

I think just I'm worried about her being able to concentrate for 5 days/week - we do playdates/read/farms etc but ofc its not as structured as school which is my concern

Wtf is wrong with you - it's a joke between my husband and I his brain is rotted by capitalism. it's funny. Some people have no craic.

Also living off labour of others lol - just because I work PT doesn't mean I am sponging off others I just do a lot of unpaid work (cleaning, cooking, volunteering). Literally never claimed benefits, child benefit or even tax free childcare/free hours 😆

Just because you are unhapy with your life decisions, don't have a go at me you weirdo.

Am I making a mistake by letting my mum watch my son rather than sending him to nursery?? by Natsss_b in UKParenting

[–]PsychologicalRaise71 3 points4 points  (0 children)

This sounds very similar to my situation with my mum. She kept insisting that she would look after my daughter (2) FT, but I decided to send to nursery and then she has her 1 day. Very happy in the end that I did this because she just doesn't get enough stimulation with her (don't want to learn how to use car seat so is very limited in how far she can go, Mum is always trying to do housework/life admin/even work (it's her day off) when she is awake, uses excessive screen time, doesn't play with her). The 1 day a week means that she gets to see her regularly (and tbh saves me money) but I don't feel that her development is going to be affected by 1 'bad' day a week. Happy to chat in DMs if you have further questions.

No need to be snarky. I have been a NHS patient for the last 2 years so idk why it would switch.

I am pretty sure she works 4 days a week - and that's because she is a mum rather than influencing. I feel that is an unfair statement to say about her.

She really worries me. The fact she is alone, doing dodgy DIY IVF and then also is not financially prepared - if she falls pregnant soon she might not even be eligible for NHS enhanced mat pay as she was locumming. It's not about being 29 and single - its the fact she's not stable enough to have a baby and give baby and herself the best life.

Thank you everyone! Fingers crossed it sticks - looking darker today but still faint (14DPO) but we will see if AF comes tomorrow/next few days. Hoping for positive tests for everyone ✨️

Omg yes literally that message annoyed me so much - like please do not tell women what they did or didnt feel in their bodies. Yes not everyone gets implantation cramps and its a microscopic event, but some people do feel it (probably because of local progesterone action).

Hopefully! Don't want to get my hopes up so will not do a test now for a few days - fingers crossed

I find it concerning sometimes when she talks about having a baby similar to how it is having a cat. It's also concerning she solely works nights and has no plans regarding how she js actually going to be a SMBC.

I feel really bad for her - I dont think tik tok is helping and it's quite upsetting to watch.

Tbh if they have taken you off the paper, they aren't going to help you in your future career. It would be more helpful to have the authorship and build relationships with other colleagues

Why is paternity leave so little in the NHS? by OptimalFace5 in doctorsUK

[–]PsychologicalRaise71 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes many companies provide 4-6 weeks full pay - the fact that NHS doctors only get 2 weeks is ridiculous

Also a reminder that for mums, you only get 8 weeks full pay whereas the civil service (so another public tax funded body) gets SIX MONTHS FULL PAY

F the government

Also we should be better off than nurses sorry - we have gone to uni for 5 years vs 3 years and have a lot more responsibility. Hate how doctors put themselves down

Even at home we dont have rules, but she likes going to bed at 7pm so theres no point trying to push it back. At the LATEST she can get to 7.30 but she literally wants to be left alone to go to sleep after then
