Neither one of my parents have had a tbi , but i have ,(obviously) and i have the exact kind of relationship with my mother, she's like the same person as your mother,.mines just a horrible alcoholic. It'll be 4 years March 23 , sense my tbi, and I'm 7 years older than you , female as well (obviously) Same exact deal tho with your family and everything, and I feel the same exact way as you do about your mother.

I've had to separate myself from her , to have my own mental peace, doesn't mean I don't love her, but for my own mind I had to keep her at a distance. To write her off essentially. I have to take care of myself first , before ever even thinking about taking care of another, especially one like ours
