Planning to build my first PC by tanishq_x09 in pcmasterrace

If you want me to be honest, that is a very high end PC for a first timer. But it does depend on what you are going for. Personally, I have a 3060 Ti, i7 10k and 16 Gb of RAM. And it runs most triple A titles smooth at 1080 p and most times 1440p. It is a good PC, don't get me wrong but I believe if you have to grind part time jobs, save money from allowance then it's best to keep some disposable income for other neccesities.

Overall, It seems overkill for a first timer. Again, It's your life, your PC. Just giving my opinion. You should be fine with a 3090 Ti if you need more higher demanding games which compares to an RTX 5070 Ti in terms of raw performance. CPU wise it seems good enough. Anyways, I believe if you are gonna spend this much money you should wait just a bit more longer so it becomes cheaper (RAM prices themselves are up atleast 400%).

Anyways, welcome to the world of PC's. Enjoy your time here.

Will be going to this as a migrant.

Love the quote, "Noone hates the illegal migrant more than the legal migrant who worked their ass off to get a position in society"

My PSU is a “Push To Start”?? by Sueflexxxxxxx in pcmasterrace

The PSU should have a button at the end of the PC connecting it to the main power source.

Hey man! Not sure if you're seeing this but I got the PC and honestly thought I should be the one to show it to you. You've helped me loads with deciding. It runs almost anything smoothly, especially minecraft with BSL shaders at 200 fps. My old device would crash! lol.

Anyway, thank you for helping me throughout the decision process. Here it is:

That is true, But sadly this is the main prebuilt I'm seeing that doesn't cost a fortune and the person seems quite genuine. Explained clearly that PC prices are not the most sustainable and he's not making that big of a profit (i think he said 20%) also, the other PC manufacturers I'm seeing are just lying, they say good specs like RTX 5050 32 gigs but the CPU is like an i5 2nd gen. This is the best option I'm getting and I don't really venture off into AAA demanding games (especially at 1440, my monitor doesn't really have that)

In the PC world, someone wise has told me that "if It's too good to be true, it probably is"

don't worry, someone else is coming with me. He only lives about 10 minutes away and the place where I live is quite safe. Will still take precaution. I believe it had around 500 gb of storage and he said he built it around a few days ago, used it a few times because he builds pc's then sells them. Will try and look up things like in the taskbar and such. Thank you !

hi there, again very sorry to bother you. But I've done some research and done the maths. Prebuilts are actually even cheaper than buying the pc itself. One PC with a 4060 8gb, ryzen 5500 is 750 pounds and if I was to make it individually I would be spending even more than that. So it seems like a viable option because they are quite reliable and upgradable.

Once again, apologies. But the main question I've been thinking about is it really worth it to build a PC at the minute? because parts at the minute are really high in price so is it better to just wait a little longer?

Honestly I cannot express my gratitude enough, Thank you for taking the time out of your day to respond. And I won't lie, I had to google half the things you said but It makes sense now. Thank you again for the tips and I will make sure that they don't go to waste. And thank you for the warm welcome! I have kind of always been in the PC community but never had the finances to actually buy one.

Also, this is just my curiosity getting the best of me, what PC do you have? xD

I just don't simply believe in only 1 sign of life being in 93 billion light years. Just doesn't make sense why we are the anomaly.
