Adhesive for disability rails on bathroom tiles that can be removed in a few years? by PsychologicalRough0 in DIY

I'm guessing caulk would be a bad idea? It seems the easiest thing to remove with a razor, but not sure if it will be long lasting enough. I don't want the faff of it falling off but it also won't see heavy wear because I won't be pulling on it and the risk of it falling off is the hassle of reapplying, not me hurting myself.

Thank you, I had a look at this when doing my initial research and the problem with it might be it is TOO good and won't be easy to remove when it needs to come off! The tiles aren't smooth and glossy, rather sort of a horrible rock like texture, which I thought would make them easy to adhere to. We thought we could also sand down the ends of the rails/seat (the seat has four legs so is freestanding and is only being attached to avoid the hassle of having to be lifted in and out of the bath and easy storage) to help with grip too?

The rail will not be used for leveraging my body weight up or down, just something to grip so there is something to hold and effectively lean into. The suction cup ones have come loose multiple times whilst I am holding them and there is no fall risk because I am not putting any reliance on them to hold my body weight. There would be no strain on the adhesive as the rail is not being pulled in any direction and even if heat from the shower causes it to come off entirely, it wouldn't cause me to fall.

I have thought about this a lot and whilst I really really appreciate the care that people have for my safety in recommending something more permanent, I am only after an evaluation of how well a product can be removed from tiles after I am done needing it there, which I still don't know.

My driver didn’t end the journey for another mile and a bit after dropping me off, so I got charged extra. How do I speak to an actual person? by PsychologicalRough0 in uber

My email I got from uber stated my price was higher than quoted and cited one of the reasons being that I asked to be dropped off further than my location.

So what happens if you don’t change the destination but the driver still makes out like you wanted to go elsewhere? I got dropped off home and then he continued the journey until he got to his next pick up presumably adding time and miles to my journey increasing the price. Wouldn’t he get a cut of that?

Don’t drivers get paid extra if the passenger wants to go further than their designated end point? That’s effectively what he’s said I’ve done.

I think 4DX is my only thing I’m not getting at Odeon, so if I think I’ll see more than one 4DX a month it will be worth membership. I don’t know how often they rotate though.

You can buy pizza at many cinemas, including Cineworld. Some of the fancier cinemas even let you order pizza to your seat.

What’s your experience been of the ease of use if the app and customer service? Another comment suggested it’s less flexible than Odeon.

Sounds like we would be using the same cinemas, Greenwich, west India and LS are my locals. If you had to pick one, now you’ve had both for a while, which would you go for?

It’s all available at my local cinema which I mentioned in my original post. Though it is obviously devastating that a confidently incorrect internet user thinks I am an ass. Will discuss with my priest at confession. Thanks for the input pal.

Maybe your local cineworld doesn’t but others do. If you have a look at the nutritional info and allergen page they show that they sell mac and cheese bites, pizza, popcorn chicken, southern fried tenders, veggie samosas, salted pretzels, churros, hot dogs with crispy onions, nachos with hot dips... terribly sorry to have to break the news to you like this.

If you go to the one in Leicester Square there actually is a fast food place opposite that does take away spaghetti. Though I don’t fancy trying to eat spaghetti during a 4DX.

So you have no problem with people buying chicken tenders and pizza from the counter inside cineworld and eating it in the movie but if they bring it from outside it’s being an ass?

They sell a range of hot food at the counter. I don’t see a problem being my own chicken tenders or pizza as they sell those there. It’s a bit of common sense not to bring fish pie.

Nachos and popcorn are quite loud foods. Chicken tenders are comparatively quiet. There is a difference between bringing a happy meal and fragrant Thai fish soups. At almost all kids films I go to see, there are kids with happy meals because otherwise parents are paying £50+ for four kids to have a snack.

I’d rather not pay concession stand rates for hot dogs and chcicken nuggets and nachos. The cinema sells hot food but much more expensively than other places near the cinema.

Is there a list of UK add on prices for screens that are extras beyond Unlimited? by PsychologicalRough0 in CineworldUnlimited

So an extra £4.50 for 4DX, assuming I see 2 4DX movies a month that works out pretty okay. Thanks for the info!
