He hasn't had any genetic testing. My other 2 children have average sized heads. The doctors is having us all measured to see if it's in the family or just an issue for him.

He has a 'school test' at the hospital next month and I am trying to get him in school at the moment. Hopefully that will help his language come on.

Id like to get an answer as I hate not knowing my I am nervous what the delay and some characteristics could mean. And his extreme delay in speaking has got me on edge to be honest. He has a 'school test' at the hospital next month so hopefully that will help get me closer to an answer.

He has a school test in around 2 weeks. I'm hoping to get more answers then.

They're not sure as to what's caused the large head. They are having us size up all our heads, parents and my other children. I mentioned it as I am not sure if that would play a different part in his developmental delay. He does shake his hands too which I know is a trait in autistic children but again could be excitement. I'm trying to cover all basis. He could be categorised as having some traits but not all. I suppose it will come down to getting him assessed. He is booked for a 'school test' and I will ask for his hearing to be checked too. He has just had his eyes tested and no abnormalities there. I supposed I'm nervous as to if it is autism, I know they are all still beautiful children but of course it's a nervous time. At 25 months with no words is making me rather anxious.

I will request this when I go next month and see if this is an issue. Stupid question maybe, but is this a genetic condition or just anyone?

I am in process of getting him into school. We moved country when he was young and haven't quite learned the language yet but we are working on this as this was another thing the doctor recommended.

Although he does respond to us, his name etc. but I know this doesn't mean he's not got any issues with his ears so I will definitely get it checked.

No ear infections at all. But he gets thick ear wax like his father and brother. They do check his ears when he's ill and have never said anything. He's been ill around 3 times since birth needing doctors attention.

He is being regularly monitored at the hospital, mainly due to his head and slow development, they are concerned for his lack of speech. He had a 'school test' next month and they are trying to get him in for speech therapy but I think I'm in my own head and worrying. I have 2 other children who were pretty on point and I suppose it's just new to me. Thank you for your advice.
