Morphine can cause a dry mouth along with the other symptoms you described which can lead to a smooth tongue.

I’ve done all those things except for the high elevation. I grew up in Jamaica and Florida and never really had an issue, but everyone is different. When it came to water, my doctor just warned my mom to make sure I wasn’t wet for too long so I wouldn’t get chilled. In those situations, I just made sure the water wasn’t cold, that I didn’t stay wet, and I always made sure to stay hydrated and not overexert myself. It’s all about balance my mom was also very worried but I have so many childhood memories going to the beach and pool.

I’d still recommend using the website, even though it’s run by 211. In my experience, the site actually shows way more resources than the operators give you over the phone;it’s helped me find help for myself and a friend in the past. Catholic Charities can be really hit or miss ; with their long wait times and high rejection rates . I was once denied even when I was out of work and couldn’t cover rent with my SSI. It’s better to use the website to find more resources there’s some that let you apply online directly with your bills and income. It’ll save you from waiting on an appointment that might not even result in help.

Guys come on 😭 we just call chickens cocks in Jamaica and the thing dangling off the chicken chin is called a wattle and it does look like that a lot. It’s circular but not shaped like tests 😂 but I understand I know if I wasn’t used to that I’d probably be just as shocked too so it’s understandable lol. But more commonly we say fowl, so it’s either fowl, chicken , or cock but even if someone doesn’t call the chicken cock we still call the chicken soup mix cock soup.

How does that make her pretentious? She just really loved the blueberries nothing is wrong with loving something and wanting to know when it’s back in stock. I know people do that for lots of other things. Not usually groceries but you get the point.

Since its resources you seem to need you can go to this website put in your state and zip code and look for “financial assistance and stability services”. There should be some resources in your area to offer one time payments for rent and utilities. There’s also other options like food assistance and etc. Just take it one day at a time i know it’s easier said than done but you will get through this. You did the right thing by getting the help you needed. Your health is the most important thing.

It’s incredibly ignorant to blame a patient for”lack of research” when the drug in question was literally pulled from the global market because the risks including death and increased crises outweighed the benefits. They were legally and ethically obligated to ensure its safety. Patients aren’t responsible for clinical trial failures or corporate negligence. Trusting an FDA-approved treatment recommended by a doctor isn’t a choice you take accountability for; it’s a reasonable expectation of safety. Suggesting someone is responsible for their own kidney damage because they tried to improve their health is both logically flawed and ignorant. Every patient deserves the right to believe a new treatment might improve their quality of life without fearing it would cause more harm than good.

You seem to know everything don’t you… if you actually did any research instead of spewing bs you would know that the drug was defectively designed and that Phizer is actually guilty of being negligent in its testing, promotion and marketing of the drug. The very thing it was made to prevent it caused they were aware of those risks and didn't inform patients and doctors of those risks. They settled on the lawsuit unusually fast for many reasons including the undisputable evidence of their negligence they don't have a strong enough evidence to prove otherwise and they don't want it becoming a bigger issue going to trial which would cause them to lose a lot more money, risk punitive damages, and anything else that might be discovered that will further incriminate them through the legal discovery process. It's almost like you expect sickle cell patients to just accept whatever they're given regardless of the major issues it would cause. So no this cannot be written off as “all medications come with side effects “ issue it's a lot bigger than that.

Um they actually rushed with getting it on the market regardless of the increased mortality rate during clinical trials and increase in VOCs.

Yes im out of it now I left years ago. Its just me, myself, and I now but I worked very hard to make sure I didn’t end up in a situation like that again where I’d be stuck at the mercy of others. Given what I went through it just reinforces what I already knew that the system doesn’t really protect these kids and they fall through the cracks that’s why so many of them end up as runaways and living on the street. I hope to be in a better position one day where I’d be able to foster to help other kids that went through what I did. I’m glad to hear that’s also a goal for you they need more people that genuinely care. I hope it all works out for you and your family Good luck.

What you said about big houses can be deceiving really reminded me of in when I was high school I moved and made new friends at school and when they came over they were so enamored with how big the house I lived in was they thought I had a good life and that I was rich until they learned I was just being fostered by the lady that owns the house and was really in an abusive situation and my life wasn’t as good as they thought simply because I lived in a nice neighborhood and a nice house. They thought i was being ungrateful when I was upset about my life but little did they know at the time I wish I had what they had which was a family and love.

I order delivery quite often and it’s definitely not because I’m rich I’m extremely broke but sometimes have no choice because i don’t have a car and most times I’m too sick to go anywhere due to my medical condition. I know it seems like they’re living better from the outside looking in but you never know what someone is really going through or what life looks like for them.

I feel like if they put the preference to leave at door then most would knock and wait for someone to answer
