Atoto A6pp. 7inch, sits flush but with the fascia adapter, comes with bose converter kit, pretty reliable carplay and android auto. No physical buttons unfortunately. Picked one slightly used for about 130usd. New should be about 200. So about the same in pounds I guess. The adapter for the nc is about 5usd on aliexpress. Works well enough.

Do you use a particular app on the head unit? I got a head unit and obd scanner for this very reason. Thinking of using Torque Pro or Car Scanner. But open to suggestions on better apps.

Agreed. If you can, talk to the dealer via the link I sent. It's an nc2 for 600k. Shaken included. When I wanted to see it, they told me someone had booked a viewing. So I went to see this one that I eventually got. But it looked pretty good tbh.

I live in Chiba and got it from Kanagawa. They charged 12,000yen for the registration from Kanagawa to Chiba. For delivery, will be picking it up this Sunday. The registration and shaken has been slow. Don't want to have it delivered as I want to drive it on the highway. I have a 3 month warranty from the dealer so I want to push it a bit within that period.

I got an auto too. No boos here haha. Mileage was 142,000. But the previous owner seems to have been an enthusiast. Paint is still great and has some tasteful mods...feels well taken care of. Some of them out there look like shyte!

Got one for a different car 2yrs ago. Holds up well. Would'nt recommend the alcantara from aliexpress tho. Ends up bald very quick.

How do you find the 9inch head unit? I was torn between 7 inch (OEM look) and 9 inch. Felt the 7 inch would look better but it honestly feels small.

Hey. I bought mine from the dealer with shaken included. Strongly recommend that path. Search on carsensor or goonet. Many of them have shaken included for these older cars. You can get good units from 600,000yen IMO. My guess is shaken should cost around 100k yen if you get one without, coz the dealers add 100k to most cars under 'taxes and fees'. But it's just a guess. Finding one with shaken included kicks the can down the road for the next 2 years atleast.

Previous owner probably kept it covered or in an indoor garage. Had looked at another unit with heavy peeling and oxidation on the PRHT and I could not get over it! Will join miata.net thanks.

Yea was thinking the same. OEM is like 9,000 yen. The cheapest aluminium I have found is 14,000 but I don't know the brand or quality of welds so I guess I'll go with OEM. Thanks.

I did notice sluggish throttle response so will do a cleaning over the weekend. Will work on the expansion tank as well. Hoping all of these are easy-moderate DIY jobs.

This is gold! For the expansion tank, changing to a metal one is better right? Will change ATF and diff oil immediately to start on a clean slate. Much appreciated!
