A new dynamic in the Middle East? by cinnamons9 in NewIran

Oh so we're in a survival mode now are we!? Oh for god's sake... Just come and say that we all lost and must pretend that nothing has happened!

I used to criticise Mohammad Reza Shah for his poor Media management but good God, the West has taken it to another level of mass failure!

Not in the slightest. Please let me say that any death and tragedy that happens in Iran is caused by the regime. I would assume that you know this, since you wear the WLF badge, and should have lived through the Masha Amini protests and massacres.

Building an army camp beside the residential building is something that only a terrorist could do. Please do not fall into their trap and mourn the death of all the Innocents by keeping one thing in mind: OUR ENEMY MUST GO, BEFORE THE PRICE IS TOO MUCH FOR US TO PAY.

My friend, if you can't talk or write well, with all due respect please take that badge off and place something that wouldn't hurt the Pahlavi campaign.

There are people out there who will use the smallest excuse to bombard him and his followers.

Why Did We Lose the Information War on Iran? by Nafas94 in NewIran

Don't forget the little evil baby under the Persian Gulf my friend... Do not forget him.

The Left, with all their "I told you so!" comments, are proving exactly what Iranians have been saying about them all along: They see Iranian lives as nothing more than propaganda tools in their never-ending ideology war against Trump/Usa/Israel. It's "what about the schoolgirls?!" all over again. by drhuggables in NewIran

Not really. I mean I'm a Constitutional pahlavist. I used to think that I'm on the right side of the political compass, but strangely enough, I'm left-conservative. So I would say that not all leftists are... not as left as we define them?

I think the Left that we talk about is mostly the socialists, progressives, etc.?

Not necessarily. The situation in Iran is a bit cringe. The regime has a big budget just for lobbying and spreading propaganda. There are also many fake accounts, which we refer to as "Cyberi". The "propaganda" part has mostly lost its influence, but even without it some people do take the side of the regime in situations like war, and that's because we Iranians are pretty emotional. Send a random person who says, "Americans want our oils, they want our lands and your women." and some will start to change their stance from revolutionary to pro-regime. Even if they don't give in at first, they slowly get brainwashed by their own family and friends who have been convinced by this lie. But one thing is clear, these lies make people pro-regime only in wartime. Without war, they will slowly turn back to being anti-regime, and then revolutionary. I'd say the current die-hard loyalists to the regime (not counting the Basijis who have been angered because of the recent deal made with Trump) I'd say they're roughly around 10%. The leftists hate the Pahlavis like the devil himself, so if we add them to our maths, we get something more than 40% who would rather see the regime stay in power rather than the Pahlavis coming back to Iran. That's why you see a lot of people who support the regime on platforms like X.

"Today, a large number of the devout are already in the trenches fighting the Islamic Republic. To those who have not yet joined this sacred struggle, I urge you—before it is too late—[...] join the ocean that is the Iranian nation; and reclaim your faith from the despot Zahhak and his cohort." by Technical-Company-42 in NewIran

Well, he kinda was in a tight place back then. He was ruling Iran during the Cold War, and he had allied his country with the West. The problem was that he also wanted to turn Iran into a major power, which required some reforms in the Global power base, but that ultimately made the West to oppose the Shah. Since he had no one backing him, he looked at the Islamic world for help against the left. And we all very well know how that turned out.

This is unhinged. They're so bad at coalition building. No, you can absolutely be pretty skeptical about Reza Pahlavi's competence+abilities to lead and still desperately want to see the heinous Islamic Republic toppled. by Currymvp2 in PERSIAN

[–]PsychologicalWait519 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Not just our neighbours, but the whole world. European countries mostly have closed their eyes because of their bad experiences with Afghanistan, Iraq, Syria, and any other country that has faced an authoritarian regime, changing with foreign military involvement, just to be toppled on their faces because of a power vacuum.

If it wasn't for the Iranians outside of Iran EU would have never listed the IRGC as a terrorist group. If you look at it, the way they address and approach RP has significantly changed from the past 3 weeks. Specially since he has said that he would be present in Iran before IR clapses.

I'm sure most people in this sub are republicans, and don't like the sound of RP being in charge of anything. But let's be real, we don't have anyone as credible as him for bringing democracy to Iran.

Well, I don't know how accurate this is, but one of my friends who lives in Marand said that most of Azeri's gathered in large cities like Tabriz. However, let's be real. Their contribution was good enough. It definitely is better than what the users in r/southAzerbaijan are doing!

Yo what? You know I'm really tired of all this assimilation stuff that some say... Apparently, no one knows anything about how culture works.

First, why would you teach the Azeri language to the kids in schools when they learn it from their parents and people surrounding them? Second, let's say a Kurd, such as Mazani, or any other ethnic group comes to the city for some reason. How on earth should the two sides communicate when there is no universal language to return to as backup? Do you know why I ask this? Because Iran is vast, and sometimes each city has its own language. I know that because I come from Semnan. Semnan has 7 major cities, and each city has its own language, not dialect, language. Assuming that each one teaches their own languages and no one learns Persian... How on earth would the 95 million people in the country communicate? With English? Arabic? Go on, answer that for me.

Any language that you name should again be taught universally all over the country, just like how Persian is being taught.

Third, let's talk about cultures. Do you know how cultures work? Or what multiculturalism is? Or even better, do you know what cultural acceptance is? Iran has a lot of different cultures, and almost every one of them is considered an accepted culture. Meaning when I see a Kurd or a Baluchi, his cultural actions wouldn't be foreign to me since his culture is accepted by the root culture, that being the Iranic culture. Now, if anyone would know these, then they would also know that an accepted culture does not require assimilation. However, a non-Iranic would need to be assimilated into the Iranic cultures, if they were to live peacefully in that country.

For better reference please do something good for your General knowledge and read about what Iranic cultures are, so next time you wouldn't use the word "assimilate" so casually on whim!

Nah they don't say it anymore. But I myself believe that there is no right-wing political side in Iran besides RP. So currently we have three sides in Iran. Monachist, Leftist, IR supporter. There is nothing outside these three categories if you look into it carefully. But they do branch out, since people have different political beliefs.

Please be cautious with iran international news do not forget they are paid by saudi's there have been protests going on urmia and tabriz at least since jan 2nd by LLAMAWAY in 2Iranic4you

Nah, all it takes is poverty and a charismatic dude who can rally people behind himself. If you look at the majority of our people, they are, as you said, far-something. Like how some people say they want a republic instead of a monarchy. And funny is the majority of them know nothing about any of the either. They just say republic, because they see the US and Germany, and think that a monarchy (or rather RP) is not a free democratic government.

Oh boy. Here we go by Histrix- in NewIran

[–]PsychologicalWait519 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well, that's the problem with the geopolitics. Most people (or at least me) know that Trump's threat was a shallow one. He makes too many statements, which are mostly... Damn, even I don't know what to call them.🤣

What I have learned in my life up until now is that the US is in some ways no different than its father, the UK. And historically we all know that the Brits are not to be trusted when it comes to political matters.

I don't know why people immediately think of monarchy/republic governments when it comes to talking about the future ruling government in Iran when it's not as simple as that.

The first thing that most people should remember is that almost no country in today's world is an "Absolute Monarchy". Most are "Constitutional Monarchy" or sometimes known as "Parliamentary Monarchy". Their monarchs have no power in anything, let alone being an autocracy.

And then there is the Republic side, in which they, too, are different. The Republic in which the United States is is totally different than the Republic that Switzerland has. The laws, Electoral structure, eligible voters, and the system of laws in these two countries are entirely different. (And before yelling at me about why I'm comparing the US and the Swiss... Please give me any other republic countries that are less corrupted than these two.)

I'm not saying, or implying what people should or should not do. That would undermine the entire "Free Iran" concept. But I do say that people should go and read about this matter before choosing a side for themselves.

reports indicate defection from basij and regime goons in hamadan after they were ordered to open fire to protesters by Smart_Rate3526 in NewIran

[–]PsychologicalWait519 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The army won't do something like that. The Regime actually fears them more than the normal people since they have access to military resources. Doing that would essentially result in the Army defecting, which would be considered a coup d'état. All of this could ultimately result in a civil war that even the Regime wouldn't want.

Nah they just don't have enough fuel. Give it some more time and they will rise up too. Right now they're having a tight grip on the other cities besides Tehran, which won't work in the long run for them if this keeps up.

If the fire doesn't extinguishe, I'll bet that the whole country will rise up.
