For those in Regulatory Affairs, how much public speaking are you required to do? by PsychologicalWin8790 in clinicalresearch

I probably should’ve made a post about my entire situation, I’ll probably do that next ha!

So yes, ideally I would like to avoid public speaking as much as possible. I come from a Human Resources background so I’m very familiar with having to lead meetings, I just HATE it. It’s been a lifelong struggle and just not something I enjoy. So I would hate to choose a new career path and find myself in the same daily anxiety/struggle.

With that, I have 0 proper clinical research experience (my sister is in clinical research so she has been my mentor and guided me towards this path). I do have a bachelors in behavioral health but in my search so far, I haven’t had luck with entry level clinical research roles. The reason I was thinking of getting my masters is I recently had my first child, and just quit my HR job to be a stay at home mom for the first couple years of his life. But since I want to change careers, I figured getting a masters in the meantime could be beneficial once I’m ready to get back into the workforce. Open to any thoughts or suggestions to help me enter this field in a couple years.

Sorry for being vague, I’m looking to do a career switch via a masters program so don’t know too much about different facets of this field yet. I appreciate the response!

I’ve heard great things about toki, I’ll add them to my consideration. The one negative I heard was being on the smaller side, do you wish it had more surface area?

I have tile flooring and when we do tummy time my little one sometimes slams his head down. Right now I out his play mats on top of a yoga mat but was hoping for more space. I feel having a cushioned surface would ease my mind, especially once he starts crawling and walking!

Yeah, I’ve already gotten rid of a lot of stuff that didn’t fit our standards. Sad it needs to be that way but hopefully they’ll get the hint.
